Application Gateway Custom Error pages
When all instances in the backendpool of the Application Gateway are failing health check the default response is a default error 502 page.
It would be nice if this error is customable so that a page in a cool customer templace can be shown

Custom error pages are now available. Please check documentation at – https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/application-gateway/custom-error.
Thanks,
Amit

Many websites now display friendly messages to site visitors when errors occur on the site. The current implementation of the Application Gateway hides all of these, returning a 502 to the visitor instead. There are 3 problems: 1) This is useless for getting error reports from users of the site, since all errors look the same. 2) There is no opportunity to tell visitors to try again later, to provide alternatives, or to contact the company's help center. 3) It also violates many companies policies on branding. (How do customers even know they are on the same site?) For these reasons, I now recommend that our customers avoid the use of the Azure App Gateway for public-facing websites. These issues must be fixed!

Isn't this possible now? There is an option called CUSTOM ERROR PAGES under the listener configuration

Likewise. Our customer is requiring this change which will hold back the use of the app gateway.

Any updates to share? This is holding us back from adoption of the App Gateway.

This would be a nice feature to add. 502 bad gateway isn't such a nice message to display when the users run into a WAF issue.
