Custom domain HTTPS support for Azure CDN from Akamai
This is supported for Azure CDN from Verizon profiles (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-custom-domain-https-support-with-azure-cdn). Also add this support for Azure CDN from Akamai.
This feature is still in development between our team and Akamai. We should have a granular ETA in the coming weeks.

@Anton is there any update on this? I'm not sure how anyone could consider this product without this basic feature? And I can't opt for the Verizon offering as I can't get the caching to work (Azure support ticket raised, still waiting for a response).

@Anton, it has been a year now that this has been flagged as started. Can you give us an update?

Verizon took 5 years to develop, If they started in 2017 February I believe we will get this feature done by 2022.
any status on akamai addition?

This is so very needed and the technology is so battle-tested that it's a no-brainer :D

We need this Urgently since Verizon CDN is not working in most parts of China!

This would be great as with Akamai supports HTTP2 over HTTPS but you can't use this with a custom domain due until it supports custom SSL!

I hope the priority of this feedback is representative of 3,500 odd votes from the previous ticket, HTTPS Custom Domains support for Verizon CDN. Feature parity across plans would be ideal.
Akamai is our go-to CDN for Azure CDN. It has hundreds of times more POPs, faster origin fetch times, and is much more reliable for our users. They have made themselves a name within the CDN community, and we would love custom domain HTTPS support for them.
