Azure Intranet Facing Multi Region Load Balancer/Traffic Manager
There is not such a way to redirect the internal requests between different regions.
Scenario Highly available ADFS deployment as showed below
• 2 internal ADFS servers each one located on a different region (1st in Azure North Central US and the 2nd in Azure West Europe).
• 2 WAP servers with NSG each one located on a different region (1st in Azure North Central US and the 2nd in Azure West Europe).
• 1 external traffic manager located in the Azure East US.The missing item to this deployment is the internal traffic manager where it is not supported…

Allow tagging of traffic manager endpoints
Currently, TM endpoint cannot be tagged. Allowing tagging helps with reporting.

to reduce minimum DNS Time-to-Live (TTL) in Traffic Manager
If product team could reduce the the DNS Time-to-Live near real time, it would be amazing feature to use.
Right now the minimum time is 30seconds which is too long for a fail over fallback9 votes -
Traffic Manager Profile API should support ETAGs to resolve update conflicts between different clients
We have automation that have different clients that modify the same ATM profiles so race conditions are possible when creating or updating resources.
It looks like ATM API does not support ETAGs to resolve such conflicts. We have to resort to using Azure blobs for resource locking which is very inconventient.
Please support ETAGs in ATM API

Add Content-Length as header for host monitoring
Content-Length is blocked in a monitor. We need this to globally lb our Direct Access.

Azure Traffic manager ( Geo ) Endpoints should have exceptions tab for countries when selecting Continents or all world
Azure Traffic manager ( Geo ) Endpoints should have exceptions tab for adding countries among the selected Continents ( Asia , Europe etc ) or when selecting All World.
This will help not selecting so many countries from the list one by one when someone wants 15-20 Countries out of 30 For example.2 votes -
Allow configure Azure Endpoint (App/Cloud Service) and External Endpoint (AP/F5 SLB VIP) in the same ATM profile
We’ve a service currently running in AutoPilot environment and it’s DNS endpoint is configured behind AP SLB VIP. We deployed and configured same service in Azure, and now we want to rout the traffic from “AP SLB VIP” to “App Service” running under mentioned Azure subscription.
I’ve created a ATM profile and Service DNS endpoint is now CNAME-ed to this ATM profile. Currently, this ATM profile is configured with AP SLB VIP underneath as “External Endpoint”. In order to execute traffic transition from AP SLB VIP to App Service, I need to configure the “App service” as a secondary endpoint…

Update documentation for Traffic Manager certificate binding
Please update documentation to mention that if there are multiple websites behind a traffic manager set with the “Priority” routing method, a certificate will only bind to the site set to priority 1. To successfully bind a certificate to all sites in the backend, re-prioritize them as needed to pri 1, until they all have a certificate bound, then set priorities as desired.

Bug: Incorrect property specified in error message when Traffic Manager deployment fails
While developing an ARM template to deploy Traffic Manager the endpoint definition did not include the property "targetResourceId". When I attempted to deploy the template it unsurprisingly failed to deploy and reported the following error message:
Status Message: The 'resourceTargetId' property of endpoint 'ep1' is invalid or missing. The property must be specified only for the following endpoint types: AzureEndpoints, NestedEndpoints. You must have read access to the resource to which it refers. (Code:BadRequest)The property name specified in this error message is incorrect … the error message specified "resourceTargetId" but I believe it should specify "targetResourceId".

Traffic Manager endpoint hard down feature
It would be very useful to configure a endpoint to stay down if it flaps. This would disable the endpoint if it flapped too much for too long. It would require manual intervention to re-enable it. It would be necessary to send an email for this condition.

Traffic Manager Status Logging
We would find it very useful to have a log of Traffic Monitor Profile Status, in addition to endpoint status. We do get emails when Traffic Manager is changed, but emails can be lost. A log would indicate when a traffic manager endpoint has been "disabled" because of a healthcheck issue, and when it was "re-enabled" after health check is clean again.

Traffic manager logs
Below features would be very useful.
For every request to the traffic manager, there should be a log with details of status code, response time, endpoint used by the request, etc.
If the status code is not 200, the log should show the error from the response.

Traffic manager should not use DNS server to group requests
The Traffic Manager routes users to the closest endpoint. It seems to work properly.
The Traffic View shows the endpoints and the users that use them on a map. It is very broken because it does not show the users at their actual location but which DNS server they are using. So for example all OpenDNS users are drawn in London, no matter where they actually are. So lots of users in London seem to use endpoints far far away.
So the Traffic View makes it look like the Traffic manager is broken.
Solution: Group the users in the graph…1 vote -
update incorrect Geo entries in traffic manager
We are having issues where trafficmanager is incorrectly resolving several of our public internet IPs based on the location of our supplier rather than the actual location.
There seems to be no way to raise and correct this
