  1. Add Option for reducing size of OS Disk in case there is unallocated disk space in the VM.

There should be an option for reducing OS Disk size of VM if there is unallocated disk space in the VM. Currently there is an option for only increasing OS Disk size.

  2. Add ability to delete multiple managed disks and network interfaces on portal

On the portal you can delete multiple VMs at once by selecting them and clicking "delete".
But when you delete VM usually you'd like to delete its disks and network interfaces as well,
However, to delete them you must open each disk/network interface individually and only then you'll see "delete" button. Especially painful if machine has multiple disks.

  4. Mananged disk export directly to storageaccount instead of creating URL

It is not yet supported to directly migrate a managed VM from one subscription to another.

It would be nice to have export directly to a storage account instead of creating an URL.
It will just make migration so much easier and more secure, than having an URL, that is public accessable..
    kind regards

  5. Managed disks: Allow configuration/provisioning of performance (IOPS & throughput) independent from storage capacity

Currently, to get to a specific amount of performance for a managed disk, you must provision based on the performance. This usually results in massively over-provisioned storage capacity

We should be able to provision performance completely independently of capacity. Note, I'm not saying that infinite IOPS should be free--we're willing to pay for the IOPS and throughput, but it obviously should be a bit cheaper if we just need a few hundred gigs of space but need a couple of thousand or more IOPS than it is because we have to buy 2 or 3 1TB disks and stripe across…

  6. Allow disk resize while VM is running

Currently, we can add and remove managed disks to or from a VM without needing to deallocate it. More often, we want to resize the disk. This requires the VM to be deallocated which is disruptive. The ability to size a managed disk up while the VM is running would be very helpful.

  8. Provision Managed OS Disks without VM Shell from Generalized Image

Currently, the only way to create an OS Disk from a generalized image is by creating it at the same time as a VM shell.

The ability to spin up Managed Disks without attaching them to a VM from a generalized image would be incredibly useful and allow for dynamic resizing of disks via ARM templates without affecting the VM itself.

  9. Provide scheduled backup capability for Azure Managed Disks

Please backup and copy OS disk only by schedule with portal (not AzCopy Command). I would like to back up OS disk only. Currently Azure image capture and back up service take snapshot and backup by VM unit. AzCopy makes it to copy OS disk only. For me, AzCopy takes much time. Please make it much easier, I mean operation from management portal would be much preferred.

  10. Specify replication option for managed disks

Currently you cannot specify the replication option of the underlying storage account for managed disks. This would be useful in order to allow them to be geo replicated (GRS and RA-GRS)

  11. Hi Team, Please enable the option in console to check whether the Disk is managed or unmanaged

    Hi Team,

In Console there is no clear option stating that disk is managed or unmanaged. We can find this by some other way but if this option is there it will be helpful for easy understanding

  13. Add URL import support to Create Disk and Create Snapshot to directly import from Disk Export URL or Snapshot Export URL

Today, there is no way to directly copy a VHD image from one subscription to another if they aren't within the same tenant. An easy workaround would be to add an option under Create Disk and Create Snapshot to take the URL generated by either Disk Export or Snapshot Export to directly transfer the file from one subscription to another without concern for tenancy. This would be especially helpful for incident responders who need to grab a snapshot for offline analysis in a separate subscription (e.g., MSSPs) without forcing someone to first download a VHD (slow) and then upload it…

  14. Offer Web Apps with Disk Space size greater than 1GB but less than 10GB for a reasonable price

Currently the Disk Space offering the web apps id 1GB, 10GB, 50GB, 250GB, 1TB.
1GB is a bit small for my environment,
10GB is good, but the price will increase by more than 400%, which is to expensive for my small environment

  15. Shrinking Drive Size

I would believe that I am not the only Azure customer that has had to increase drive size temporarily to try to fix an issue on their VM and then need to shrink back to their original size. With all the advanced features available through Azure you would think that shrinking a disk would be as easy as enlarging. Yes it would require you to first shrink the drive size in the OS first before allowing you to shrink it in the portal.

  16. Enable Azure Disk Encryption via portal

Currently Az CLI/PowerShell needs to be used for enabling Azure Disk Encryption. It would be great to be able to do this via the portal, and also to monitor the status. We can use Az CLI commands to pull status of disk encryption process, can we show this on the portal?
Additionally, seeing the status for ADE on the front page of a VM would be very handy.

  17. Increase maximum disk size of VMWare VMs replicated to Azure

    Hi Team
I have been using Azure site recovery for almost 2 years now as a DR setup for 1 data centre. Due to increased disk usage, 1 of the VMs now has a disk of over 4095 GB. As a result I am not able to replicate this critical server and currently it is not possible to reduce the disk size in VMware. Is there a possibility for the maximum disk size to be increased over 4095 GB?

  18. Increase IOPS/MBps limits for P40/P50 Managed Disks

Expanded Managed Disk sizes have been GA for a bit and we're so glad to have them. All I'm asking for is some love for the 40 and 50 (2TB/4TB) disks since they're now now ratio appropriate relative to what the newer large disks offer. For P, making P40 a 300MB option and P50 a 400MB option would be excellent. The 250 cap on P50 makes it a poor choice today.

  19. Azure disk encryption by excluding particular data disk

We want to exclude one of data disk but want to encrypt remaining disks. Is there any possibility to do same..

    Example : Data Disks (D1,D2,D3)

want to exclude D2,continue with OS disk and data disks (D1 and D3 )

  20. Regarding removing a virtual network or subnet from the Storage account

    Issue Definition:
We have met several cx meet error when adding the virtual networking for storage account, the error showed like:
    'code': 'NetworkAclsNetworkSourceDeleted',
'message': 'NetworkAcls VirtualNetworkRule /subscriptions/***/resourceGroups//providers/microsoft.network/virtualNetworks// with state NetworkSourceDeleted in accounts **** is required to be removed before it can be added
    again.'

Current RCA and suggestions for this issue:
From TSG we know the root cause and workaroud as follows:
The root cause is "when a Subnet gets deleted if the subnet was added to the firewall of a storage account, this record from storage account will not be deleted. This creates a “ghost”…
