  1. Expose Storage Explorer via custom URL

    It would be great to have an online version of Storage Explorer, but accessible outside the portal.

    So, I can give a business user access to their storage account, without having to install Storage Explorer, and without having them touch the Azure portal. They would login to Azure with their credentials, and be presented with just the storage explorer. This would use the same credentials they logged in with to present them with all storage accounts they have access to.

  2. Add compare functionality to Azure Storage Explorer

    Would be useful to be able to compare storage accounts/containers/folders/files and choose to sync either way or selectively. Doesn't need to show differences internal to the files just that one is different to another and meta such as newer or older, size, etcetera.

  3. Remove "Storage accounts" from the navigation tree

    Navigation tree in the app can be simplified by removing "Storage Accounts" child of the "Subscription" parent and move all items of the context menu to the subscription parent

  4. queue metadata surface

    Surface the queue metadata in the UI, so you can see the metadata assosciated with the queue

  5. Azure Storage explorer should have an option in the UI to cascade security settings to child files for Azure Data Lake storage. (gen 2)

    We can use the CLI to achieve this, but it would be useful from an admin perspective to be able to do it via a UI

  6. Storage Explorer hangs when calculating Directory Statistics on deep folder trees

    When invoking Directory Statistics on deep folder trees - Storage Explorer hangs and has to be killed from process list. The attachment shows the problem.

  7. Make Azure Storage Explorer MFA-friendly during login

    For Azure Storage Explorer, when someone signs in using an account with MFA and that account has multiple subscriptions, the app should let the user sign in by entering password and text message only once.

  9. Move Files from Azure Blob Storage to Azure VM using Drag and Drop

    I have some non-tech savvy clients that want to use Azure VMs. Microsoft procedures to Create and Provision Azure VMs is way too difficult. I should be able to Move Files from Azure Blob Storage to Azure VM using Drag and Drop so that I can move several files that I need to provision the VM.

  11. Fix blobPath double encoding, which produces invalid urls

    When i upload png file to storage, i got such response:
    {
    "fieldname": "logo",
    "originalname": "logo.png",
    "encoding": "7bit",
    "mimetype": "image/png",
    "container": "my-container-name",
    "blobPath": "1586785817685-MTExMS5wbmc%3D.png",
    "url": "https://my-host-name.blob.core.windows.net/my-container-name/1586785817685-MTExMS5wbmc%253D.png"
    }
    If I use this blobPath for constructing url to get my file I'll get BlobNotFound error, Azure portal's storage explorer uses this invalid url too and i got the same error using URL

  12. You Urgently Need To Heavily Improve Accessibility for 10,000's of Blobs!

    Did I really just download and install a tool that's just a web wrapper and offers no extra functionality over the like-named function in Azure portal?! This s*cks!
    I'm afraid of clicking 'Load More' more than 100 times for seeing all blobs of my storage account! Why there's no 'load all', 'jump to the end', or 'disable pagination'? Where are the sensible filters apart from name (e.g. date)?!

  14. Add a Sync feature to Storage Explorer

    Please add a "sync" feature to Storage Explorer so I can quickly update files in blob storage when I've made updates to a copy of those files on my local filesystem.

    3rd party solution CloudBerry Explorer has this feature.

  15. Storage Explorer - Need more options to configure view

    You can hide top level Services like Storage, Disks, Cosmos, Data Lake; but it would be good to be able to hide next level down, or any unused items. The interface is quite cluttered!

  16. Please fix standalone Azure Storage Explorer to not change DateTime fields

    I'm using the standalone Azure Storage Explorer with a Table Storage database and when I double-click a row to see the fields and then click Update, Azure Storage Explorer changes the DateTime fields even though I didn't make any changes. It's adding 6 hours each time.

    It's easy to reproduce: open a table with a DateTime field, double-click a row, don't change anything - just click Update. Then open the same row and you'll see the time has changed. Click update again. Open the row again - the time changed again (adding 6 hours each time)!

    While searching for help…

  17. Clone option for Table rows

    Sometimes we need to enter a lot of Table records with mostly similar values. It would be handy if there was a Clone option. This would be largely the same as the Add function except that the form would be pre-filled with the values of the row highlighted when the button was pressed. PartitionKey and RowKey would be editable.

  20. Azure Storage Explorer 0.9.6 does not work with new role Cosmos DB Account Reader Role

    Azure Storage Explorer 0.9.6 does not appear to work with new role "Cosmos DB Account Reader Role". If we add the "Contributor" role for a user, the user is able to access.. however, from what I understand, this new role is replacing the more generic "Reader" role. This works inside the Azure Portal.. but not in Azure Storage Explorer. Please advise.
