Viewing status of a pending AzCopy operation
If you're copying a large blob between two containers it would be nice to see how far along it is and how much longer it will take. I understand that it's asynchronous by default and there's no guarantee of speed so you may not be able to give an estimate of remaining time very easily, but giving a percentage progress value
or X out of Y MB transferred would still be useful to see from the output by the executable, or in Azure Activity Logs. I recently had to copy a 500GB vhd between storage accounts and it took 6 hours. Obviously 500GB is a lot but given it's a black box at the moment I as a user have no certainty at 5 hours and 30 minutes if there has been a problem and the process has stalled, or if it's still copying.

Hey Baffour, thank you for your useful feedback! This item has been added to our backlog. More specifically, we plan to add a feature which allows users to see percent complete and throughput of the pending operation.
As far as alternatives go, our latest version of AzCopy (v10.3.3) features a benchmark mode allows quick and easy performance benchmarking of your network connection to Blob Storage. You can run AzCopy with the parameters 'bench --help' for details.

It would be nice to see progress during all operations. When downloading a large blob/file, Storage Explorer does not show you any estimate of time remaining. It shows you a percent complete, but leaves it to the user to calculate the estimated time remaining.
Even I faced the issue recently. Is there any alternative?
