Azure File Sync: allow turning off ACL sync
Given untrusted servers within a sync group, want to sync file contents but not sync ACL's. ACL's will be set on servers independently of Sync.
Thanks for the feedback! If this is something you’d like to see, please vote for this to help us prioritize it.

This is an especially relevant option when syncing across disparate AD domains, stand alone servers etc. In such cases admins could configure local ACLs on top level folders (server endpoints) within each environment as appropriate. AFS would be left to sync top level folder contents, nothing more.
I would also think should you ever support server endpoints for non-Windows systems, disabling ACL sync would be effective for that as well.

Allow turning off seems a good idea because currently changing ACL triggers sync - which means there is basically no way as of now to set ACL on untrusted servers.
