Provide support for append blobs in the Azure Storage Emulator
Currently Append Blobs aren't supported in the Azure Storage Emulator. Attempting an operation on an append blob returns a FeatureNotSupportedByEmulator error (HTTP status code 400 - Bad Request).
Thanks for the feedback. We do not have plans to support this in the Azure Storage Emulator.
As an alternative please use the open-source Storage emulator Azurite:

Append blobs are a fantastic feature of Azure Storage -- why is there still no support for this?

Thanks to Microsoft for suggesting a repo that doesn't support append blob either :D
Please reconsider as you now have ownership of Azurite and you are still not supporting append blobs...

No news yet ? This is a crucial function for our testing environment,

Any comments from Microsoft?
Any work arounds until this is supported?

Same thing here. Using version 5.2 and still not supported!
Yes we need this feature for testing purpose!

We really need this too. Now this is holdning us back from adapting append blobs.

Can you provide any feedback on when this feature is expected? We use the emulator as a basis for part of our unittests, and we're missing Append Blobs right now. Tested today on emulator V4.5 (released August 30, 2016)
Also, Append Blobs have been around since April 2015. It's about time ;)
