  1. When Azure Data Lake Storage query acceleration can support Hong Kong?

The query acceleration feature is in public preview, and is available in the Canada Central and France Central regions.
When this feature can support Hong Kong?

  3. ADLS Gen2 folder Size

When I tried to find the size of the folder in Azure storage account Gen2 folder have to iterate the size of the each file size and accumulating total size to get the final size of the folder. At least if we have option to find the total size of the folder would be great help !!

  4. Worm compliance at object level

Please add a feature to support WORM policies at object level. Currently it's only supporting at container level. This has very potential and AWS already has this feature supporting at both object and bucket level.

  5. Reading the change feed document - chunkfilepath

    "chunkFilePaths": [

        "$blobchangefeed/log/00/2019/02/22/1810/",

    "$blobchangefeed/log/01/2019/02/22/1810/"
    ],

should the log sequence come in the end? viz.

        "$blobchangefeed/log/2019/02/22/1810/00",

    "$blobchangefeed/log/2019/02/22/1810/01"

instead of in-between? This will help read files by day. otherwise there may be another feed like below, and /log/01 prefix would lead to many days

        "$blobchangefeed/log/00/2019/03/22/1810/",

    "$blobchangefeed/log/01/2019/03/22/1810/"

  7. Limit the size of files in a blob storage container/account

There should be a config option to limit the maximum size of any given file in a blob storage container or account. When I'm allowing a client to directly upload to my blob storage with an SAS, they could technically upload a file or any size and as they're not going through my app, there's no way for me to control this. I want to be able to say "any file in this container or account may be no larger than 10MB" or whatever.

  8. Provide a preview feature for azure BLM policy on what blobs will be matched beforehand.

When configuring a blob life-cycle management policy one can also configure a filter set (prefix match). When using Portal, however, I see no way to preview what blobs will the filter match. The only way is to deploy to configuration and wait for the results to kick in. So the question would be: is there a way to preview what blobs will be matched beforehand?

  9. Add special ParquetBlobStorage allowing filtering

Parquet is de facto standard for storing big data.

However we usually do not need all date stored in parquet hive/files.

It would be great if there were ParquetBlobStorage - extension of BlobStorage that:

    a) would understand parquet format i.e. in order to read schema it will read only end of the file

    b) allow selective column/row reading - no need to copy full blob when we need just couple columns or group of row.

  12. Restrict access blob

Hello, we have a storage with 3 blobs:

    Blob1

    Blob2

    Blob3

We need 3 access (keys) in which every key has only access to a specific folder in the blob:

    key1: access only Blob1

    key2: access only Blob2

    key3: access only Blob3

    something like this:

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/95daa726-b4f4-4cab-9c0c-2c3e6b35c9be/custom-access-policy-for-azure-blob?forum=windowsazuredata

  13. Add a function to obtain and monitor the number of blob storage per container.

When checking the metrics that can be obtained with Storage Account for Monitor, it is possible to obtain and monitor the number and size of Blob Storage per storage account, but it is not possible to obtain and monitor per container.
I want to be able to get and monitor the number and size of Blob Storage per container.

  14. Multiple websites in single blob container

I would like to create multiple websites under $web and access them via those. For any links using src it works fine, but href always goes back and looks for the files in root folder.

    I created folders web1 and web2 under $web.

    This works: <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/js/main.8243def2.js">

    but

<link href="/static/css/main.cc95eacb.css" looks for the folder static under $web, even though it needs to look under web1. Changing href to /web1/static/css/main.cc95eacb.css doesn't help.

    Thanks,

  15. Extend immutable storage effective retention period per blob

We need to be able to extend the effective retention period on a specific blob, this is needed to ensure the original document was not modified and the retention was simply extended.

  16. ADLS Gen2 works with BlobStorage.

ADLS Gen2 works with BlobStorage, so I think the following sentence is incorrect.
[Data Lake Storage Gen2 is only supported on General-purpose V2 storage accounts with Hierarchical namespace enabled.]
The correct movement is as follows.
    - Select a blob when creating a storage account and enable the hierarchical structure.
    - Abfss: //... can be connected, and the endpoint is also <account> .dfs.core.windows.net.
    - No error occurs when connecting from other services.
Is it not "only" but "General-purpose V2 and BlobStorage"?

  17. v12 Python API for Azure Blob Storage no longer supports progress feedback

The old python API for blob storage used to allow a callback for progress updates on uploads and downloads. That seems to be gone in the new (v12) api. If I upload a large blob, I get no feedback on its progress. Why did we lose this useful feature and how can we get it back??
