Is there a way to add more than 1 endpoints at a time? If not I think this would be a great feature. Thanks.1 vote
We are looking at support like this coming in the future. Stay tuned.
it would be useful to have azure run the sysprep on an existing VM instead of just asking "have you run sysprep?"
suggest exposing this as a feature on the create-image div1 vote
The Marketplace contains a gallery item to create a SharePoint Server Farm. Can the items (scripts/extensions/etc) that are used to create this be shared as a sample that we start with to build our own custom SharePoint Server Farm solutions on top of?1 vote
We will do this, later in 2015.
I pay my subscription for a virtual machine on Azure but it stopped working this night and now I get "Failed to start virtual machine". Nobody answers at the support and nobody cares. Great Microsoft. Keep on billing me.1 voteCorey Sanders [MSFT] responded
I am sorry to hear this, Cedric. I could not find your MSDN issue by searching. If you could attach the link, i can follow-up.
The linux (Ubuntu) machines are not really persistent when shutting down and/or capturing, the waagent.conf is not read properly (even when capturing an image, a new image based on the capture does not include changed settings in waagent.conf).
It would be nice to have the waagent.conf setting configurable at start up, when creating the virtual machine.1 vote
There are a few bugs we are working through to address these issues:
1) Hostname changes are not persistent across reboots on Ubuntu. This is an issue we are working through on cloud-init which we should have fixed soon: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/walinuxagent/+bug/1375252
2. Customers cannot use the waagent.conf file to change the location of the local disk mount point or set up swap space in a consistent way. We are working through how to fix this wit these two bugs:
I use here just for SharePoint farm for now and thanks for user friendly portal. It is really nice to use a great farm at least 3 virtual machines. Maybe it should better if there is no action on machine for couple hours to shut down machine automatically. Maybe I think different from your work politics but it should be better to save limited credits for test users at the beginning1 vote
This cost saving mechanism is something we are looking to enable. You could support this just using Azure Automation scripts to detect and act.
A Dynamics AX machine (the usual demo machine) could be really useful!1 vote
Great feedback. We plan to add something like this, although the timeline isn’t clear.
My VM failed to provision. The error message did not provide any insight. Prompting the user to "try again" increases frustration.1 vote
Good feedback and I am sorry to hear about your issues. I think we will be able to offer more as we learn more failure situations. I would recommend, when you do see these failures make sure to raise them on MSDN: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/home?forum=WAVirtualMachinesforWindows
Thanks for the feedback. If this gets a few more votes (and possibly some examples of the types of changes) we will consider these improvements.
Shutdown of a virtual machine gives the following message. Shutdown in the old portal just works fine....
Failed to shut down virtual machine
Failed to shut down the virtual machine '.....'.
Authentication failed. The 'Authorization' header is not present or provided in an invalid format.
I use an organisation account with 2way authentication, does not know if this matters1 vote

we are continually reviewing hardware options to provide flexibility such as a high CPU Size.
both onpremises and Azure VMs should be able to join domain from WAAD. User login acconts should connect with WAAD like liveID Accounts.
Currently WAAD is just a passive copy of on premises AD. Which gets information through DirSync. But neither can Azure VMs connect to that and join its VMs to that AD and also users with windows 8 cannot connect their login accounts to WAAD accounts like they can with liveID accounts. I suggest even end users laptops should as well connect to WAAD account so that machines can get the policy from WAAD. WAAD should increase the reachout of onpremises AD, instead of just being a passive copy1 vote
Let us dig into this and see what this would look like.
Allow legacy win2003 servers to execute in Azure1 voteunder review · AdminAzure IaaS Engineering Team (Azure IaaS Engineering Team, Microsoft, Microsoft Azure) responded
This is a bit of a challenge as most Win2003 servers are still 32 bit which is not supported in Azure at this time.
When creating new Virtual Machines from Gallery (Standard Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter)
On Page 3 there is a problem attaching the new VM's to a Virtual Network.
But if I change the Cloud service (DDL) to an existing Cloud service, the Network information is displayed. After that I can change it back to auto generate a new Cloud Service. But keep my Virtual Network configuration.
It would be nice if the Virtual Network where visible from the beginning when creating many virtual machines in a network.
See screendumps that is attached.

We will take a look. Thanks!
I love the idea of developing in the cloud and as a developer who is just gettting started I would like to have an image that has Visual Studio Express on it along with SQL Express. This would allow me to quickly get going, get money then buy a MSDN :-)1 vote
Great Idea. We will work with the VS team to see if we can enable VS Express in an image.
