I have had to destroy and recreate several machines that refused to start after a shutdown. I get a useless error that the machine "failed to start". I still have some vhd's that I am sure that I am being charged for, but I cant delete them because they are apparently attached to a computer that no longer exists!
There is also no good place to send problems like this. The problem with their PAID support plan is it assumes that it's always the users fault. I am expected to PAY to fix THEIR bugs!
What say you, Azure?1 vote
I would like to migrate internal enterprise applications to Windows Azure but as part of requirement I need a dedicated VMs to host the applications to meet data and security requirements. Can I leverage G series as dedicated servers to host VMs for the internal application.1 vote
Consider this scenario:
1. I have an application that requries more than 150 endpoints so I am forced to use a PIP address
2. As I'm using a PIP address, the options around load balancing (in any mode) machines in an Availability set is removed and I can only have single VMs
3. Those single VMs are subject to the possibility of planned and unplanned interruption.
Either, increase the number of endpoints per VIP allowed (and allow port ranges) or develop a form of load balancing and availability set for PIPs. Permanent, reserved PIPs should also be available.
There are VM's with Server2012 and visual studio community, but I don't want a server as it is used only by a single developer (we also have problems with visual svn which we do not get on our local windows 7 machines).
There are also a lot of VM on premium storage, West europe that are exclusive to MSDN, but we can't use them through our BizSpark subscription (although we did sign up for MSDN through our BizSpark subscription)1 vote
Some of our application checks the mac address for Authorization.
Give me a function to fix the mac address for testing.1 vote
And even then . When I was just browsing through I created one VM with bare minimum settings and I deleted it in 10 minutes thinking I could create another one but now it says free trial is disabled.
This is not good.1 vote
When customizing the dashboard, if small (1x1) icons are used for virtual machines, then no status information is visible. Perhaps color (red vs green) or a red x when the vm is stopped can indicate the status of each machine at a quick glance. This would allow for much more efficient use of space on the custom dashboard without sacrificing information.1 vote
When create a new CentOS VM,
if there is a default item to the endpoints.
I want you to display the default items.
Is displayed in the old portal.
Because it does not displayed, I was fail trying to register the SSH.1 vote

Make it known that these VHD's come with spyware and are not "free" but are taking your info to the 3rd party companies that publish them- it would be nice if MS kept uptodate distros so you don't have to VMDK to VHD then upload them to your blob/cloud so you can use them- all these precompiled things have privacy issues that you would never agree to if read. pls. fix this.1 vote
At present, you can create a full snapshot of a Hyper-V VM, but not an azure VM, The current suggested mechanism (setup out at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn722422.aspx) means you take the VM down, create a disk snapshot,. This can work but means downtime, What I'd like to see is a simple New-AzureVMSnapShot cmdlet, along with a Restore-AzureVMFromSnapshot. And of course, have the functiond available in the Portal too!1 vote
I would be interested in moving an existing GreatPlains server with eConnect to AZURE1 vote
Please let there be a way to add port ranges.
Its going to take me days to open up UDP ports 8000 to 8999 one port at a time.1 vote
Consider a set of custom attributes a Customer can maintain on a Virtual Machine object in Azure.
Helpful for Automation, custom reporting, etc.
Should be easy to implement, already known in VMM and would enable Migration Scenarios.1 vote
Previously when creating a new VM the public port was set as Auto for the RDP and PowerShell ports -- now they are both(public and private) the same Default ports: 3389 and 5986 -- (mainly when using the preview portal in creating the VMs). Can we please have this reverted back to the random generated public port so that the VMs are more secure?1 vote
Given that I know my Virtual Machine's ResourceGuid, how can I find out the ResourceGuids of Storage, Network & Data Management components associated with that specific VM ?
This is essential to identify the total cost of a specific VM from the downloaded usage statistics CSV file.
Usage details has resource wise metrics with unique ResourceGuid and we need a way to find out the id's of resources associated with a particular VM.

There is no Test framework today to test the IAAS hosting. All the automation testing is difficult when handling multiple subscriptions.
Microsoft should release a framework for this1 vote
