Support ZRS for Virtual Machine boot diagnostics & diagnostics settings
Here's the scenario: You deploy VMs across availability zones 1-3. You enable boot diagnostics and diagnostics settings and are forced to use LRS/GRS. You opt for one of those. Later Zone 2 goes down, and the storage cluster with the storage account also goes down (bound to Zone 2). And now you lose essential storage for the VMs in Zones 1 and 3, potentially breaking services if any of those VMs reboot or attempt to boot up/deploy.
Other services are perfectly fine supporting GPv2 ZRS for zone redundancy. VMs being a primary candidate for zone redundancy also should support GPv2 ZRS for Boot Diagnostics and Diagnostics Settings.

Agreed... we definitely need VMs to be able to use ZRS storage accounts for diagnostics.
