Add Hyper-V Replica for offsite backup
Allow us to send Replicas offsite for DR in case Azure goes down. Customers are not trusting cloud initiatives enough to move fully into the cloud without having an offsite backup.

Not sure if it is suitable under same suggestion, I would like to have the option to run local Hyper-V replica on-premise for local redundancy and have the same VM-s replicated to Azure using ASR for offsite redundancy in case all site is down. Not sure if that is an option now, as I have not been able to find any documentation about this.

Hi Rob, Could you share the scenarios that you have in mind for Azure Virtual Machines replicating in the cloud? As we are considering this scenario, your inputs would be valuable.
Hi Olav, You could use Azure Site Recovery to replicate on-premise Hyper-V VMs into Azure. To know more: http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/site-recovery/
The ability to have replicas and extended replicas in Azure and from Azure to an onsite Hyper-V server would be tremendously beneficial. If the Hyper-V management console were able to manage Azure virtual machines just like any other Hyper-V server, I could see a lot of clients using this feature.
I would also want Azure Virtual Machines to have the ability to replicate in the Cloud. Instead of an availability set, I would like to create a replica within Azure, similar to the on-premise replica solution offered by Hyper-V.

There should also be a feature in Windows Server to replicate on premise Hyper-V VMs directly to Windows Azure for disaster recovery scenarios.
