  1. Constrained CPU on DS15_v2 or beyond

    Can you offer D15 with constrained CPU?
    We are running SQL server on this VMs with CPU count licenses, and our workload need more RAM than CPU.

  2. Display installed Azure extension from within the Add Extensions menu

    Provide a mechanism to surface (display) installed Azure Extensions from within the Add menu. For example, I have the Network Watcher Agent (NWA) installed, but when I click <Add> and go into the Extensions menu NWA is still available as an option along with other installed extension. Ideally, add a checkmark to the icon or something like it to depict that the Extenstion has already been installed.

    Thanks for the valid suggestion. Your feedback is now open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows us to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and also gives us insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.

  3. Support for custom VM sizes

    We need more custom VM sizes besides the existing ones. Sometimes we may need more or less vCPU/RAM, which are not included in the existing VM sizes. It would be better for customers to config their prefer sizes.

  4. Support for Teams & SFB on Windows Virtual Desktop

    With the release of Windows Virtual desktops on Azure, the multisession W10 offering does not support either of the Collaboration Tools, SFB or Teams. The support of these office apps with pass through support for peripherals is vital to make this offering viable. Please can this be looked at and delivered when the service goes public on Azure

  5. Improve image gallery replication to other region

    image replication to other region fail or limited to 1

    Code="ReplicationJobsNotCompleted" Message="The replication job has not completed at region: 'eastasia'. You can try to reduce the number of the target regions when you first create the gallery image version, then update the gallery image version by adding more target regions.

  6. Protected settings available in Clear text in Deployment options

    When I use ARM template and Custom Script Extensions with protected settings, these options are available in clear text in Deployment option.

    Can you fix it?

  8. Create and manage Windows VMs in Azure using C#

    Create the authorization file
    In Solution Explorer, right-click myDotnetProject > Add > New Item, and then select Text File in Visual C# Items. Name the file azureauth.properties, and then click Add.

    Add these authorization properties:

    Copy
    subscription=<subscription-id>
    client=<application-id>
    key=<authentication-key>
    tenant=<tenant-id>
    managementURI=https://management.core.windows.net/
    baseURL=https://management.azure.com/
    authURL=https://login.windows.net/
    graphURL=https://graph.windows.net/
    Replace <subscription-id> with your subscription identifier, <application-id> with the Active Directory application identifier, <authentication-key> with the application key, and <tenant-id> with the tenant identifier.

    I created the file I just do not know where to get the subscription-id, application-id, authentication-key, tenant-id.

    I need help please

  10. Flat bandwidth

    There are scenarios where the current bandwidth pricing per-use is not useful. For example some Web hosting or web application scenarios cannot have a billing that do not allow to predict costs of a VM.

    Any kind of billing based on bandwidth and not traffic will be a solution.

  12. Allow update of gallery image for VMSS

    When referencing a custom image in a VMSS from a Shared Image Gallery (Preview), it cannot be updated to refer to a new image. This results in an error code "PropertyChangeNotAllowed".

    Today, a VMSS can be updated to a new image reference when it references a managed image that does not reside in a Shared Image Gallery.

  13. Implement list all images by location in Azure API

    As discussed here https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/issues/28658

    API should be able to return a list of all images available by location in one request (with possible filters) instead of requiring requests for publishers, offers, SKUs and versions

    This can be done in Azure CLI and would be very good for the API too

  14. Add "VM JIT Requestor" role to Resource/RG level role list

    Quite often, I want to grant users login access to an Azure VM without giving them contributor access to modify the metadata associated with the VM itself. However, while Reader access gives users access to the Azure portal, and Virtual Machine User Login access allows users to login to the VM once in the portal, neither the aforementioned roles nor any other predefined role provides the ability to request JIT access to the VM.

    My workaround has been to create a cusotm role with the following allowed action: Microsoft.Security/locations/jitNetworkAccessPolicies/initiate/action

    However, this seems like an action that should either be allowed…

  15. Successfully perform Windows Updates on General Purpose VM's

    When creating a Standard A1 v2 virtual machine in Azure, Windows Updates do not perform correctly. Azure Support have advised that the Virtual Machine needs to be increased in size, but i would expect all virtual machines offered in the Azure Portal to be able to perform Windows Updates...

  18. Make Ubuntu VM NVMe storage mounting more robust

    I experience periodically that, when I start a storage-optimized Ubuntu VM (size L32s), the NVMe disk is not mounted. When I try `sudo mount /mnt`, I get: `mount: /mnt: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.` and no obvious way to fix this. Other times, the machine starts and the disk is mounted fine. No obvious pattern. Please make mounting more robust.

  20. Create way to do adhoc backup policy to create an image of VM and name the policy or image.

    I have done a lengthy install on RHEL 7 VM in which I would like to create an image as a new starting point. The next install I will be doing requires all these dependencies and it's very time consuming. I can go and do a backup and restore of the VM of a given date but there is no way to do an adhoc backup and call that my "gold image" or some unique name so I"ll know that's my starting point. I guess I could use clonezilla, kickstart or docker to create the image but it would be…
