  1. Oracle Linux / CentOS boot disk size

Please allow to increase Linux boot disk size from default 30GB to 100 GB on need basis. Current 30 GB is too less.

  2. 3.5GB of RAM is insufficient for moderate workloads

Despite the best efforts from OSG, Windows Server still consumes a considerable amount of RAM even when stripped-down. Add to that the memory usage by an instance of a local SQL Server (when Azure SQL is inappropriate or too costly) it's easy to hit the 3.5GB memory limit and suffer disk thrashing.

I would like to see the memory allocations doubled at each instance tier level, though you can retain the CPU core count. If doubling is not economically feasible please extend the "Memory Intensive" range to offer a 2-core, 7GB option ($140/month?).

Question: why is memory doled out at…

  4. VM memory monitoring

Azure management portal currently does not provide any way to monitor IAAS VM Memory usage (historical graph). It would be nice to have this added there

  5. Azure VM should support Hardware acceleration by GPU for some intelligent video systems

Intelligent video systems need process a large number of frames real-time,Hardware acceleration is a very usefull feature of the system to enhance product competitiveness.Azure should allow a part of users can use real GPU feature~We are very interested to move our applications onto the Azure, but currently, some of our company products can't work on the Azure VM because of the feature lost...

  7. Provide a way to set up phone and fax services for Virtual Machines

It would be great if you could add a way for us to create virtual modems and reserve phone numbers or phone number banks for use with VMs.

It would be nice to allow some of the services that are offered on the VMs to interact with a service like this.

For example, a web service that may want to verify the phone number of an individual and to do so may have the machine call the number and provide a verification code that they can in turn enter on the web service. Having the ability to fax with that…

  8. Corporate proxy support for xplat Linux users.

It would be nice if we could manage Azure via xplat Linux behind a corporate proxy.

  9. ACL for VM's in preview portal are very flakey. Frequently I can't save my edits

The ACL concept is GREAT but I can't get them to save most of the time... all the time?

  10. USB devices are not supported in Azure VMs

USB devices, like flash drives or hardware security dongles, would be useful to have present in the remote VMs. For example, support for dongle-controlled security for applications would then be possible.

  11. Bug: Version Release selection missing for Linux Images

It seems like the version release selection is missing for Linux (i tried Ubuntu LTS) virtual machines. I can see it in the old portal (attached screen shot) for Linux and both in old and new for windows.

  12. Connection between Virtual Machines and Virtual Network

    In the current Portal:
    - In Virtual Networks I can see which Virtual Machines are in that Network
    - In Virtual Machines I can see in which Virtual Network that Machine is

    In the preview Portal:
    Both Features are missing!

  13. VM Fails when upgrading DS4, stops working with DS13

I was upgrading my VM from 4 cores to DS4 which is the smaller 8 core. Wouldn't do it, and failed everytime I tried. I then upgraded to DS13 which is another 8 core with more memory and that worked. Tried to go back down to the DS4, but failed again. After a day the DS13 crashed and wouldn't start back up, even when restarting from the portal. I then had to try to upgrade to DS14 which is 16 cores which I didnt need but it worked. I shouldnt have to pay this extra money for hardware I dont…

  14. Need to create Sharepoint Farm with an already existing DC

In the SharePoint Farm creation, there should be an option or check box where you can join an existing dc instead of creating a brand new dc

  15. Error create virtual machine from iamge

I have sysprep with shutdown an Azure Vm after which i captured it in the new portal as an image, it had two disks one OS and one data. Whenever i try and spin a new Virtual machine from it it fails in the new portal. But it works fine in powershell and the old portal the error message is:

    {"error":{"code":"VirtualMachineUserImageDataDisksMismatch","message":"The virtual machine user image 'prd-webservers' data disks does not match the data disks references in the request."}}

When i issue Halt on an Ubuntu vm the machine turns off and does not work but the portal still shows it as running ? Is this the expected behavior even if the vm is non operational.

  17. Add Remote Desktop Client to iTunes Store in China

I use Mac OS, I can not connect to VM.

The Remote Desktop Client is not available in iTunes Store China,

Without the RD Client APP, MAC OS users can not connect to VM

  18. Password verification (check) missing when creating a virtual machine

When creating a new virtual machine the password verification (check) where you type your password a second time is missing. Making it real easy to have a wrong password. It's there when you want to do a password reset but not when creating a new machine.

  20. Creating a VM and then creating another one right away usually fails

I can successfully create the first VM but when I go to create the second it seems to pick up the settings from the first causing it to fail because the VM is already being created ("Unable to edit or replace deployment"). The VM has an entirely different name, etc. This happens any time I try to create a VM while I have another VM of the same type already being created (but not yet done).
