  1. Max Uncached Disk Throughput Limit

Customer has machines that require higher disk Throughput capabilities with less CPU/Memory than our VM series offer. For example customer has a need for a 4-8 cpu/16 GB of ram machine with 200 MB uncached disk throughput. Only size we offer is a VM with 8 CPU/64GB of ram that meets the throughput requirements.

  3. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux hybrid benefit's name is misleading

The term "hybrid benefit" for Red Hat Enterprise Linux is misleading.

This is not really a hybrid benefit like you get with Windows where you can run a datacenter license both on-premises and not pay the licensing costs to run a cloud virtual machine with the same license.

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux "hybrid benefit" doesn't allow you to do that, it is merely a method to convert a pay as you go VM in to using a paid red hat subscription without needing to use the Red Hat Gold Images from the marketplace.

The term of this should be…

  5. Unable to automate loading a windows server 2019 profile

I thought by using an automation account to run the powershell execute via commands in VM would be my solution.
    I tested the RunPowerShellScript with:
    Start-Process "C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe"
but it states that it can not find the path.
    What is missing here?

  7. Ubuntu 20.04LTS VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade Support

As of today, Ubuntu Server 20.04LTS is not supported by VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade feature (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machine-scale-sets/virtual-machine-scale-sets-automatic-upgrade#supported-os-images).
This one has been released on April 23, 2020.
Can you please kindly consider support it with VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade feature?

    Many thanks,

  14. Make DSC extension's scripts run after automatic OS upgrade

When we are enabling on our VMSS the "automatic OS upgrade" option, and then the VM's updated, we lost our previous configuration to the VM's, that are done by DSC script.
The reason for that configuration lose is that "automatic OS upgrade" create a new image when it run, and then the VM's OS disk go back to the default configurations. We use the DSC script to configure new VMs in the VMSS, but unfortunately this DSC script is not initiated after OS upgrade.

  16. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) Support

  18. "Free space" as a metric for Virtual Machine disks

Using 'Azure Monitor' it's impossible to set an alert based on hard disk free space metric.

It could be useful to have this kind of metric, particularly on Linux VM where sometimes you need to check if a "logrotate" still working.

  20. Allow raising DSv4 quota via the portal

Since at least the 11th, I have been unable to raise DSv4 quotas the normal way in the portal, because they're missing from the list. Each time I have to try my luck via various support channels to get a staff member to raise my core quota. It takes a long time, and burns a lot of time at Microsoft and with me. I have an open production incident right now, in fact, open for a number of hours, because I am unable to raise the DSv4 quota in the semi-automated manner.
