  1. VM Pricing Tier Labeling

In the Pricing Tier box under Usage, why isn't the pricing tier identifier included? I can see that my VM has 4 cores and 28 GB of RAM, but when I click the box it just lists all configurations. I have to search through looking for the one with 4 cores and 28GB RAM. I see that it is configuration D12. Why isn't D12 part of the pricing tier configuration info listed in the little box? At the very least, why doesn't D12 have the little checkmark set indicating that it is the current configuration?

  2. Add Optional Workflow Server to the SharePoint Server Farm item in the Gallery

The current gallery option to create a SharePoint Server Farm is good but it does not go far enough. While a migration to Office 365 and "the cloud" in general is well underway, many developers are still being tasked with developing On-Premises solutions, and a great many of these include Workflow requirements.

Azure is a great way for a developer to spin up a Development/Test/Sandbox environment, but trying to add a workflow server into the current VM's that are deployed as part of the existing template is a painful and frustrating process, especially for those developers (like myself) who are…

  3. Granular Information about Azure Maintenance

Last week, I received a notification regarding Azure Maintenance that is scheduled starting 1st August - I have attached it here. The notification said "WestUS - First Half", "WestUS-Second Half" and so on. But currently, there seems to be no way of checking in which "Half" is our deployment. If this information is available on the portal in our subscription, it will help to identify when and how our services are going to be affected.

thanks for the feedback. I am hoping that this is the last maintenance (after we go through all the regions) that will be split in half like this.

  4. virtual machine shows stopped not deallocated

The preview of virtual machines only shows them as stopped. Nothing says if the VMs are deallocated that I can see. From a charging point of view the statuses should be the same as the original portal.

  5. Windows Images with different languages

It would be great to have pre-built Windows images in different languages for testing software on foreign Windows systems.

  6. Preconfigured SharePoint demo template

SharePoint 2013 preconfigured Demo environment-template for demo like the Information worker VHD for SP 2010.
    Main features:
    * Content with metadata etc.
    * Users

Pherhaps templateify the one you could create at https://www.microsoftofficedemos.com/
    for creation in azure.

  7. When shuting down a virtual machin

Shutdown of a virtual machine gives the following message. Shutdown in the old portal just works fine....

Failed to shut down virtual machine
Failed to shut down the virtual machine '.....'.
Authentication failed. The 'Authorization' header is not present or provided in an invalid format.

I use an organisation account with 2way authentication, does not know if this matters

  9. Don't publish RDP / PowerShell when selecting a corp connected network

My financial customer was alarmed to see that a server was exposed to the internet when it was also connected to their corporate network.

I helped them "connect" their on premises network to Azure. Once connected, one of the IT Admins just ran through the wizard (UI) to create a VM and place it on the network. A week later, security was reviewing the settings and asked why a sensitive server on a sensitive network was exposed (RDP with a random port) to the internet (which there is no good answer).

My request: Can we change the deploy VM behavior…

  12. VM logs

Currently, there are no logs of operations such as create VM, joining the VM to domain, enabling remote PS on VM, failure to run/create VM etc. Azure should work on making of the VM logs better in IAAS subscriptions.

  14. Have a 16 core vm with 16gb of ram for cpu intensive workloads

The current 16 core vm ' s come with huge amounts of ram and are very pricey. I would like a 16 core vm with 16gb of ram for less memory intensive but high cpu loads

  17. BUG: Creating a Linux VM with SSH certificate from portal fails

I'm trying to create a Linux virtual machine (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, 7/25/2014 release) in a virtual network. Whenever I specify an SSH certificate instead of a password, I keep getting an error that the machine creation failed. The certificate upload succeeds, however.
This has happened in the past as well, but I didn't worry about it then since I was focused on a PaaS deployment. Please fix this! If it's a matter of some required settings combination not being met, please highlight that in the UI.

  18. both onpremises and Azure VMs should be able to join domain from WAAD. User login acconts should connect with WAAD like liveID Accounts.

Currently WAAD is just a passive copy of on premises AD. Which gets information through DirSync. But neither can Azure VMs connect to that and join its VMs to that AD and also users with windows 8 cannot connect their login accounts to WAAD accounts like they can with liveID accounts. I suggest even end users laptops should as well connect to WAAD account so that machines can get the policy from WAAD. WAAD should increase the reachout of onpremises AD, instead of just being a passive copy

  20. Found a bug creating VM's in Azure

When creating new Virtual Machines from Gallery (Standard Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter)
On Page 3 there is a problem attaching the new VM's to a Virtual Network.

But if I change the Cloud service (DDL) to an existing Cloud service, the Network information is displayed. After that I can change it back to auto generate a new Cloud Service. But keep my Virtual Network configuration.

It would be nice if the Virtual Network where visible from the beginning when creating many virtual machines in a network.

    See screendumps that is attached.

    Best regards,
    Tobias Jonsson
