  2. Is it possible to trigger a function app or a script when VMSS is scaling out?

I have seen a case, wherein Cx is looking for an option to trigger a function app or a script when VMSS is scaling out to 'N' instances. Any feedback is highly appreciated

  3. Add VM images for Windows ARM64

Currently, there aren't any ARM64 Windows VMs available. This e.g. blocks Continuous Integration scenarios for apps that want to support Windows on ARM (for e.g. the Microsoft Surface Pro X), like NodeJS: https://github.com/nodejs/build/pull/2408#issuecomment-671707155

While cross-compilation from a x64 host is possible, it's not possible to run automated tests on the ARM64 platform until VM images become available for that architecture.

Please add VM images for Windows ARM64 to Azure.

  5. Provide API to get current VM spot pricing

It would be useful to have an API / CLI, like AWS provides, to determine what the current VM spot pricines is for each machine type.

  7. VM Image Search isn't very intuitive

Searching for a VM Image by name is not very intuitive.

For example, I searched for "Windows Server 2012 Datacenter" and had to use "Load More" 7 times to get to the correct images.

  9. Please provide a method to deploy Shared Image Gallery templates to another subscription by using ARM resources.

Please provide a method to deploy Shared Image Gallery template to another subscription by using ARM resources. As I understand it, this is possible using CLI or PowerShell but not an ARM resource.

  10. Please increase the PER-VM bandwidth for F48s_v2 from 1100MB/s to 20000MB/s

    Folks,

Currently, the F48s_v2 VM is capped at 1100MB/s

    I'd like a F-series VM that has comparable aspecs to F32sv2 or F48sv2 with 20000 MB/s limit.

    WHY?

NONE have met our requirements for speed of recovery into the cloud.

Brainlink has built our BCDR solution on VEEAM + AZURE.

    Currently, we hold…

  11. Create an option to change a VM's availability set or availability zone in order to add it to a load balancer instead of having to delete it

It would be nice if there was an option to change a VM's availability set or availability zone in order to add it to a load balancer instead of having to delete it and recreate it in the availability zone. A feature to just reconfigure without deletion would save a lot of time and headaches.

  13. Create VM basing on parameters of one existing vm

    From PowerShell GitHub repo: https://github.com/Azure/azure-powershell/issues/11989.

It will be nice that New-AzVM supports creating VM basing on an existing VM within on cmdlet.

  14. Offer vCPU constrained AMD EPYC VMs

Currently vCPU constrained VMs are only available on Intel technology. A VM like "E16a-8s_v4" would be ideal for medium-sized SQL Server platforms.

  15. Add the definition of meterId to the VM details.

In the return value of the API for getting VM details, only vmSize, not meterId, is returned, and the Usage with the Billing usage item is a meter id and cannot be related.

  16. Add ability to set VM resolution on creation

VM resolution by default is 1024 x 768

We use the VM's to run automation on a desktop application which requires a larger resolution to appear correctly.

Please add the ability to set a default resolution on creation.

Appreciate there are still limits on a VM resolution but should allow the freedom we need upto the limits.

We currently use a workaround with RDPwrap but this is far from ideal and does not work in all circumstances.

Providing the requested feature would eliminate a huge pain point and provide a much needed improvement to our user experience.

  17. Effective route tables for VMSS

As confirmed by PG in Support case 119091125000146 there is no way to query the effective route table for a VMSS instance, thus leaving 100% VMSS based infrastructures completely blind.

  20. The Windows 10 VM using RDP returns the error "We couldn't connect to the remote pc because your account has been disabled"

This is with a newly created Win10 VM. I tried to use the Run command to enable the user account and troubleshoot with PowerShell, but Run does not appear to be responding either. Can't SSH into it. Thanks.
