  1. Allow to set the value of shutdown timeout (force shutdown)

According to the current behavior, if it is not completed within 10 minutes after the stop(deallocate) operation of Azure VM, I believe that the stop will be forced.

However, it may take a lot of time due to the stop processing of process or OS task.

I hope to be able to determine the forced out timeout time ourselves.

  2. Ubuntu 20.04LTS VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade Support

As of today, Ubuntu Server 20.04LTS is not supported by VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade feature (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machine-scale-sets/virtual-machine-scale-sets-automatic-upgrade#supported-os-images).
This one has been released on April 23, 2020.
Can you please kindly consider support it with VMSS Automatic OS Upgrade feature?

    Many thanks,

  3. Azure Site Recovery - replication of VMs with UEFI and SecureBoot enabled

Have possibility to replicate on-premise (Hyper-V, VMware) Virtual Machines with UEFI and SecureBoot enabled via Azure Site Recovery.

Nowadays replication of VMs with SecureBoot is not supported:

  4. Azure VM limits should be visible on VM Overview page graphs

In a support case I found one of my VMs was being throttled because it was over disk write limit; the performance (other colors, not red) and limits (in red) should be on the graphs on the overview. This seriously impacts availability when VMs are being throttled and makes for an insidious and hard to understand issue. All performance limits should be visible! Please implement?

  5. Support of hyphens for Shared Image Gallery names

We usually use hyphens as separators. Unfortunately, this is not supported in the Shared Image Gallery. It would be helpful if this could be supported. Image definitions support this.

  6. resize VM without reboot

Currently if you want to change the VM Size of Azure, VM is restarted. VM Resize shouldn't require downtime and it should be done in the backend. As CPU and RAM is still throttle when we use more resources then why can't we just remove the throttling limit and inform customer that VM is resized from A to D series when request is raised of resize?

  7. Roadmap for "Azure AD login VM extension" to go GA

Looking to integrate VM login to AAD using the extension in preview described at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/login-using-aad.

Technically all working swimmingly well, but the log-in includes a warning message that the feature isn't for use in production.

What's the guidance when this is expected to go GA?

Raising here as suggested in handling of support ticket #120101924005145.

  8. History of scheduled event

For the maintenance that doesn't require a reboot, customers can know it only through Scheduled Events API.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/maintenance-and-updates?toc=/azure/virtual-machines/linux/toc.json&bc=/azure/virtual-machines/linux/breadcrumb/toc.json#maintenance-that-doesnt-require-a-reboot

Several customer requests easier way to grasp the affected resources and that history (e.g. dashboard).

  9. Virtual Machine Image API - Include OS disk size info

Virtual Machine Image API reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/compute/virtualmachineimages/get

    Managed Image API reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/compute/images/get

The returned objects from the virtual machine images API do not include information of the image size on the OS disk, whereas the API for managed images do include this information. This prevents the possibility of creating a solution to verify whether a potential deployment of a VM has appropriately sized disks or not based on the selected marketplace image, while this capability is present if the deployment is using a managed image. I don't see why there shouldn't have feature parity in this regard between the two API…

  10. Add VM images for Windows ARM64

Currently, there aren't any ARM64 Windows VMs available. This e.g. blocks Continuous Integration scenarios for apps that want to support Windows on ARM (for e.g. the Microsoft Surface Pro X), like NodeJS: https://github.com/nodejs/build/pull/2408#issuecomment-671707155

While cross-compilation from a x64 host is possible, it's not possible to run automated tests on the ARM64 platform until VM images become available for that architecture.

Please add VM images for Windows ARM64 to Azure.

  11. CoreOS Container Linux end of life - Fedora CoreOS not supported on Azure

CoreOS is reaching end-of-life on May 26, 2020 and will be removed from Azure images in September 2020. Successor to that will be fedora CoreOS, however as of now it is not currently natively supported for Azure. The ask is to have Fedora CoreOS available and supported in Azure.

  12. Max Uncached Disk Throughput Limit

Customer has machines that require higher disk Throughput capabilities with less CPU/Memory than our VM series offer. For example customer has a need for a 4-8 cpu/16 GB of ram machine with 200 MB uncached disk throughput. Only size we offer is a VM with 8 CPU/64GB of ram that meets the throughput requirements.

  14. virtual machine list export to csv

When we go to All resources we can see Export to CSV button on top menu so that all the resources can be downloaded easily.

When we go to Virtual Machine there is no such functionality available.
There are lots of scripting needs to be done to achieve this and also previously we use to be able to copy and paste it into excel and it used to copy all the columns which we've selected. But that too isn't working now.

Can you please give us the functionality to export the VM details into CSV

  16. IOPs limit on Azure Linux VM for 55 TB Oracle Database

We have one customer who have Oracle Database on RAC and size is around 55 TB, is it possible to migrate Oracle databse with 55 GB on Azure VM?

What is max IOPs, CPUs and Memory supported? Do you see any limitation?

Please reach out to me if you need any more details.

  17. Why is clock speed never a choice when selecting VM ?

Clock Speed is critical for specialized COTS applications that need migrated to Azure. However, there does not seem to be any option to select clock speed when selecting a VM.

  18. Cancel button in VM Run Command

There should be the ability to 'cancel' a command executed in the RUN Command within Azure virtual machines.

  19. Fonts and Colors

Within the VM Run Command, there should be some way to modify the font and the colors of the output. For those with impaired vision or color blindness this would be of assistance.

  20. safemode

Put this with "Run Command" to 'Remove Safemode' boot because I have seen many people have to spend hours trying to remove that.
