  1. Impossible to filter the Azure REST API SKU information

    When query the Azure REST API to retrieve SKU information with the following URL
    https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/{SubscriptionId}/providers/Microsoft.Compute/skus?api-version=2017-09-01
    This query currently return around of 574000 lines and 6,18 Mb.
    This API query can't be used as a dataSourceBinding in a DevOps task definition, because a response size limitation exists.

  2. Virtual Machine Console Access Part Deux

    The previous post suggesting the addition of basic VM functionality was inappropriately marked "completed" serial console was added.

    The serial console is better than nothing, but just barely, and was not at all what was being requested by that post.

    What we need is a equivalent of the VMware Remote Console.

  3. Support for Teams & SFB on Windows Virtual Desktop

    With the release of Windows Virtual desktops on Azure, the multisession W10 offering does not support either of the Collaboration Tools, SFB or Teams. The support of these office apps with pass through support for peripherals is vital to make this offering viable. Please can this be looked at and delivered when the service goes public on Azure

  4. Notification for the capacity for requested VM size

    It is quite critical that we could receive the notification for running out of the requested VM size.
    In our customer, the allocation failure was happened in the following critical scenarios:
    • Restoring VM in Azure Backup
    • Failover in ASR
    • Starting VM
    Getting that notification earlier, they can avoid the error by considering another size.

  5. Allow update of gallery image for VMSS

    When referencing a custom image in a VMSS from a Shared Image Gallery (Preview), it cannot be updated to refer to a new image. This results in an error code "PropertyChangeNotAllowed".

    Today, a VMSS can be updated to a new image reference when it references a managed image that does not reside in a Shared Image Gallery.

  6. Allow provisioned VM pricing to be altered to add software licensing without reprovisioning

    As an Azure VM user/administrator, I would like to be able to take an existing VM priced at one rate, and "upgrade" the pricing to include licensing for products installed after provisioning. I would like this to provide flexibility (e.g., if I want to install SQL Server on a Windows priced VM, without losing install/configuration work already undertaken on that VM and without independently licensing SQL; or if I want to add BizTalk to a Win/SQL-priced VM). I would also like this to allow simplified compliance (e.g., a Windows-priced VM is found to have SQL Server installed after provisioning), to…

    Customer always need to query vm shotdown timestamp. It would be convenient for users to view the time on portal directly.

    Thanks, dear.. You really gotta fix those machines.. If Paperspace has AIR machine with graphics card, 4 GB RAM, 2cores processor, hardware encoding, for 18$ flat price.. AZURE should have 4 high performance processors for 3$, + 4 GB RAM + 3$, + Storage usage + 0.10 cent per GB :)

  11. storing vmSize with the exactly the same capitalization independently how VM was created

    VmSize is stored with the capitalization how it was called during creation (v2 <> V2).

    VM with v2
    az vm create -n clitest1 -g SAP --image UbuntuLTS --size Standard_D13_v2

    az vm show -g SAP -n clitest1 -d

    "hardwareProfile": {
    "vmSize": "Standard_D13_v2"

    VM with V2
    az vm create -n clitest2 -g SAP --image UbuntuLTS --size Standard_D13_V2

    az vm show -g SAP -n clitest2 -d

    "hardwareProfile": {
    "vmSize": "Standard_D13_V2"

    It causes additional data cleaning necessary during azure data analyzes.
    Please correct
    thanks
    István

  12. Provide an API to tell whether a promo VM size is expired

    There doesn't seem to be any way to tell via the VM APIs that a promo size is expired in a region.

    Eg, in West US, the "list sizes" API includes promo sizes like Standard_DS3_v2_Promo in the result, and the usages API says I have quota for standardDSv2PromoFamily, so it looks like I should be able to create a Standard_DS3_v2_Promo VM, but I can't.

    There needs to be a way to tell this programatically. "Look in the portal, it's grayed out" is NOT an API. "Read this blog post" is NOT an API.

    Maybe this should be included as a…

  13. Display installed Azure extension from within the Add Extensions menu

    Provide a mechanism to surface (display) installed Azure Extensions from within the Add menu. For example, I have the Network Watcher Agent (NWA) installed, but when I click <Add> and go into the Extensions menu NWA is still available as an option along with other installed extension. Ideally, add a checkmark to the icon or something like it to depict that the Extenstion has already been installed.

  14. SAP on Azure with more automation and more flexibility for SAP system landscape

    Whenever you want, you can generate a new devolopment or quality system with actual data with our Software on Azure. So you have a new copie of your porduction system. Like a systemcopie.
    The second feature is, you can build automatically a SandBox system in a new azure VM and turn it off when you don´t needed anymore.

  16. Azure VM unable to configure auto shut down, encountered error

    I tried to enable the auto shut-down for my VM, and I encountered this problem.

    Enable serial port redirection for medical practices' diagnostic machines. Currently there is no way to redirect serial data from the office to the cloud server in Azure.

  18. Display VM Image information in the portal

    When creating Azure Compute Resources you need to specify the following Parameters in order to request a VM:

    Offer
    Publisher
    Sku

    Getting this information can be very hard because these information are only displayed in the "Export template" section after you created them.

    I think, that it would be way better if we could fetch these Information from the Marketplace Item page. (See attached picture)

  19. Allow VM console access when storage account has firewall enabled

    It's pretty ridiculous that the Azure VM serial console won't work when the boot diagnostics storage account has a firewall enabled.

    First, it should be possible to use a firewall for additional protection of boot diagnostics. I understand that the storage has to be written from the host server, not the VM, so it might not be on the correct vnet; but this should be considered a "trusted Azure service", or there should be another option to allow it.

    Second, the Serial Console is not the same as boot logging. They are two separate things! I should be able to…
