  3. Add a mandatory checkbox to comply with GDPR

    Currently, Microsoft shares customer info with partners when they press 'contact me' in the marketplace.

    In order to be compliant with GDPR, the EU contact must actively provide their consent (usually done by ticking a checkbox with our opt in verbiage).

    Any contact processed without consent exposes Microsoft to receive fines.

    Adding an idea here asks me to check the box. So add it there too ;)

  5. Dashboard Customer Count Misleading

    The “Total Customers Count” top left in your Partner dash is NOT really an accurate label.

    The second data set further down the dash called “Customers’ Detailed Data” is the ACTUAL number of customers.

    Strongly suggest you rename "Total Customers Count” to Total Instance Count" and then rename “Customers’ Detailed Data” to "Total Customer Count".

    That would be accurate since a CUSTOMER can have more than one PAID INSTANCE.

    My suspicion is that Azure1 is INSTANCES and NOT CUSTOMERS (which means the title is a misnomer), and that the Customers’ Detailed Data is the TRUE customer count(since I can see…

  6. Implement Basic Authentication for lead passing HTTPS endpoint

    We are trying to pass leads using the HTTPS endpoint option and have no way that we can tell to leverage Basic authentication (which our API endpoint requires). I tried putting the credentials (username:password) in plaintext in the HTTPS URL field in the Commercial Marketplace, and that too didn't work. I can't tell without logs if the Microsoft system is sending this information in the header (like it should) or if it's just stripping it out and trying unauthenticated, which will surely fail.   7. Include subscription activation in the lead generation notifications

    Marketplace implements a lead notification mechanism that works well when someone get interested in your offering through Marketplace. We can configure several ways to get alerted on that, receiving information about the lead.
    Surprisingly enough for me, if the customer directly goes to Azure portal an subscribe to our offering we don't receive anything and there is no way to define an alert for such circumstance, so we cannot proactively contact the customer to provide support.
    Please, set that pretty simple functionality (probably the simpler way would be to integrate it with the existing lead generation alerts).

  9. Move a customer deployment from one offer to another.

    We should be able to move a customer from one offer to another. If a customer deploys the incorrect Product tile, there is no way to move them to another one. A specific example if a customer selects and hourly billed offer but should be on BYOL, there is no way to change their billing. They must re-deploy net new. This is very inconvenient for customers and time consuming.

  10. Allow deletion of a plan for an offer that is marked as stop sell

    If existing plans have issues, we need to stop sell and create a new plan. There is no way to delete the plan marked for stop sell.

  12. Offer ID unusable after deletion of Offer

    Offer Type is permanent once you start the process of offer creation. Offer ID is also unable to be reused even when the Offer is deleted.

    That means that if you create an Offer with your desired Offer ID, and during the validation process it is determined that you had chosen the incorrect Offer Type, the Offer ID is no longer usable.

    It seems overly punishing that an Offer ID on an offer that never passed validation or was published should be locked out forever.

    We had several occurrences where our Offer plans show as available in preview status, but still missing after several days. Issue was due to replication failure to various regions/locations. would be great to show this replication status on the Offer Overview page as part of Preview status, and add feature to refresh/re-publish if unsuccessful.

  15. Add flat rate/annual billing to Azure VM offers in the Azure Commercial Marketplace

    Azure VM offers deployed through the Azure Marketplace are currently only eligible for Pay-as-you-go or BYOL billing. ISVs can create annual contracts via BYOL, but customers with Enterprise Agreements and Azure consumption commitments miss out on the dollar-for-dollar consumption commitment retirement for any transactions that occur outside of the Azure Marketplace.

    The flat rate/annual billing feature for Azure VM offers would allow ISV's to negotiate preferred pricing in exchange for annual contracts with customers via Private Plan, while allowing customers to draw down their Azure consumption commitments. This is a huge selling point for the customer.
