Change country for your account
Change country so that you can register a valid creditcard. I live in norway, have always been, but azure put me up as UK. I cant use credit card to pay for anything in Azure.
There should be a possibility to change country for an account and not need to create a new account to get to a new country. This is MS solution which is totally stupid.
They say that laws prohibit them from let people change country and that people will use this to avoid tax on their account. But if you just want to change country to avoid tax, then why not just create a new account in a new country?
When your account was created with wrong country any mature system would let you change it. So should Azure allow.
When already the first step cause so much trouble, I even don't want to learn more about Azure. I decided to move to AWS.

Somehow (and I have no idea how), my country was set to Panama. Now I'm trying to activate my MPN Azure credits and I can't do it because I can't change the country. However, my Partner Network Profile says US. I reported to Microsoft that I DID NOT SET THE COUNTRY TO PANAMA. Their response was:
"Once you choose your region when creating your Azure account, you are unable to change the country.The country details are updated at the creation of the account only. Change of country once the account is created, is not possible by Microsoft design."
Seriously! So now I can't use part of the MPN benefits I paid for because MS won't run a SQL update to change my country?! Guess, I'll have to use a competitor! Microsoft, you really screwed this one up!
Moving to AWS because Microsoft ignores customers. Can I update my address to AWS? Nope. It's Microsoft Azure. You cannot update the address here.
Totally stupid that one cannot change your own account country!! You know, PEOPLE DOES MOVE FROM ONE COUNTRY TO ANOTHER in real life!!!
Unfrickinbelievable - this is very poor MS, I shouldn't have to create a new tenant to change region! Shenanigans!
Living in UK temporarily (years), credit card is USA. Why can't I sign up?

I am glad that I am not the only one with this problem. However, they said to me that after having a subscription they could move my profile to another country. However, how can I have a subscription if I can't use my credit card?
I am in the UK and impossible to sign up as this stupid website thinks I'm the South Africa

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue.
I now have 3 accounts, none of which are correct.

I had the same issue. I'm not going to create a new account.
Creating a new account just to change the country doesnt fix any legal issues.
This is just bad system design.
I'll create my project using a different cloud provider.
Still not fixed. Picked my country but got assigned to different one and can't add CC info.
My account that I used to register to azure clearly says its UK, but the azure account decided to use Turkey, I really don't understand this.
I am also have the same problem, three times handled by support team and the result still the same cannot change the country.
I am so frustrated.

Don't worry, just do inspect element on drop down menu and remove its disable property. Once you remove that you can easily change the country to your desired one.
