How can we improve Azure Signup and Billing?

  1. Make payment easy!

    Payment should be made easier. I always have IMENSE trouble getting payment to work on microsoft services. It's too convoluted, confusing!!!!!

  2. change of currency

    Please let us choose and change our billing currency.

    A the moment my billing currency dors not match my crédit card and bank. And I can't create a new account because the transfer of assets and BizSpark benefits are cumbersome at most.

  4. Online Payment for Azure Databases

    According to some banking requirements, they do not allow to complete the payment for azure by Debit Cards (offline Payments), but they allow for online payments, I recommend to start a system to pay due amounts with online payment system while offiline mode is ongoing.

  6. Don`t sneakily bill me

    I was billed 59.65 three times (178$) for a clear DB service I unknowingly provisioned and was not refunded my money. Make it clear when you are soliciting paid services when exploring azure on a free trial account.

    The Azure free trial credits can be used for services published by Microsoft, but non-Microsoft services are not covered. We apologize that this information was not clear in the portal.

    We are working on making this more prominent.

  7. Azure Billing is so confusing

    So I tried to create a compute server (VPS) last August as I think it would cost nothing. It looked worth a try.

    However, starting from this month, it seems that Azure has been asking for money since I noticed several unusual withdrawals in my credit card though it always failed.

    Then I realized that it maybe because I forgot to turn off the machine even though I never use it since the first day it was created.

    My question is; do I still have to pay something? (despite of my zero usage).

  8. EA billing data is available within minutes

    Currently our customers need to wait between 2 and 3 days before the billing data is available in the EA Billing API. Microsoft comits to give the full billing details only after 5 days, which is too important.

    Some customers have big consumption bursts (20K€ for example) and would like to be able to see the billing data in "real time", or at least the next day. Not 3 or 4 days after the burst happened.

    In short, customers want to be able to monitor their consumption with fewer latencies.

  9. Allow profiles to be locale-generic, and support subscriptions in multiple regions under one profile.

    I recently set up a profile/subscription. It wanted to know where I was located, so I was honest and selected 'UK'. I'm the manager of global tech for a global company. Imagine my surprise when I wanted to have billing handled through my US HQ's credit card, and I find out I can't! I can only bill through a UK CC.

    So, I went to change it. It needs to be an account registered in the locale you want to pay from, not necessarily where you are physically located. Of course, I then learn you can't change the country. I…

  10. Change donut chart in the overview from by resource to by resource type

    The chart shows 3 items for me and then 99% other. Dividing by resource type (VM, storage, PaaS Web, PaaS SQL, networking, etc) would give a better overview of spend.

  13. Click error message box for support options

    There is a little red stripe at the top of the "Subscription" window that says "Error - Contact Microsoft Support for Help" it would be nice to be able to click on that and get support info. Especially since it's probably looking for billing information and I'll need to go to a special phone number/address

  14. Make it accept my credit card

    When I try to sign up all I get is "We can't authorize the payment method. Please make sure the information is correct, or use another payment method. If you continue to get this message, please contact your financial institution." Please fix this.

  15. Support additional regional formats

    Billing history in the portal displays dates in US format. The same applies to the usage report.... Would love to be able to change a single setting somewhere so that all dates are in UK (or other) format...

    Thanks for the feedback.

    We do have the ability to switch languages in the footer. Based on the language selection, we update the date formats as well. But for English we currently default to US formats. We’ll look into adding support for UK as well.

  16. Tab Indexes are broken on the Free Sign-up Billing Page.

    When I press Tab, the expected behavior would be to go to the next box, but it goes to a random one on the page. This seems like it would be an easy fix. Please resolve!

  17. Show EA account credits in the Billing API

    Hi guys,

    We would really like to see billing credits in the billing API CSV data. This could show up as reverse charges (negative values) or in a form of a separate API function and a separate CSV file (in case that Microsoft does not have the same level of detail when it comes to applying credits).

    Currently it does not look like there are any reverse charges in the API.

  18. Azure free hours for technet subscribers

    I think like MSDN subscriber and others, Technet subscribers shoud also get some free hours to try out Azure stuff. It makes sense at the moment when it's still on it's way to getting mature and this way more and more guys can try this out and come out with their suggestions.
