FTP as a service
FTP is used a log for integration. It's often a common need and a common customer request. I would like to have an FTP/FTPS offering that would be HA & Auto scalable (with several pricing tier).
- A simple one with basic security : should cover most need (TLS / encryption at rest)
-A more advanced one maybe with Azure AD integration
Storage should be HA (Using Azure Blob or Azure Files).
I would like just to have a PaaS service and do not care about the infrastructure.
Future feature like : Integration to Azure Network, Private endpoint (no public endpoint exposed), can come after.
With Azure Web Apps there is already something similar. The idea would be to have a v1 that could reuse the same bits to quickly release a preview & test.
The goal would be to leverage this service as a data source for Integration (Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory) out of the box. And that could unlock a lot of new scenarios.

We need SFTP, FTPS as a service in Azure, preferably allowing at least these authentication options: username/pass and public key auth

We require an FTP service for transferring files to/from a partner company who won't use a secure cloud storage option. Would be great to have an Azure solution where our files will be generated anyway, and not have to manage and configure IaaS.
Hey - we need SFTP, FTP, FTPS as a service n Azure!
We offer a fully managed SFTP, FTP, FTPS and SCP solution directly to your Azure blob/files storage (S3 and GCS also).
We also provide a downloadable Windows or Linux Self-hosted instance that does the same and can run in HA mode.
Be sure to consider us: https://docevent.io

Adding my voice/vote to this. Only need a small SFTP service behind a NSG to put some product data in for a marketplace server to pick up at regular intervals. Would be easier if it was ready to deploy instead of having to do many steps to get the same result.

You can use a third party, such as Files.com, which supports direct FTP and SFTP access to Azure buckets, and supports Azure AD (or other AD) based authentication.

I would gladly put all my votes on this item.
Migrating existing solutions to the cloud into a server-less architecture and not have FTP/FTPS/SFTP as a service makes the migration very difficult. Changing interfaces in an installed base is very costly and time consuming, so such things you would like to be able to do on the natural upgrade path for customers.
Not being able to provide such legacy interfaces in a easy way is almost a deal breaker. If we where not already heavily invested in Azure a move to AWT would be most likely (as they provide this service).

Since Amazon has had this for a long time, and I see a demand for it in the industry, this should definitely be a service that also exist in Azure. Hope it gets the attention. Ignite 2020 is coming soon so we can only hope :)
Adding my voice to this. I would very much appreciate this feature.
Yes please MS, this would be ideal for many clients including one I am currently working with when adopting the Cloud.
