Azure Active Directory

Welcome to the Azure Active Directory suggestions and feedback site! We love hearing from you. If you have suggestions, please submit an idea or vote up an idea. We are monitoring the site actively.

Thank you for joining our community and helping improve Azure AD!

Wehave a new log in experience integrated with Azure AD, and we stronglyrecommend you log in with your Azure AD (Office 365) account. If yourUserVoice account is the same email address as your Azure AD account, yourprevious activities will be automatically mapped to your Azure AD account.  You can read more here for details: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Azure-Active-Directory-Identity/Putting-customers-first-for-f...

  2. Allow Group Email addresses to be added as OTP guest users

Allow Group Email addresses to be added as OTP guest users, without this functionality enabling B2B integration with Sharepoint\Onedrive stops the ability to share to Group Email addresses

  3. Link a foreing group from other tenant

We are an IT enterprise and we are some IT managers to make support to our clients.

All IT managers need be owners form our customers Tenants to give support or make some actions in the Tenants Customer.

The option offered by Microsoft to do it is invite all IT managers accounts (from our tenant), make it members of a local group and give owner role to this group.

It was very usesfully if it was possible to invite or link a grop from foreign tenant (our tenant) and then don't be to invite accounts one-by-one.

    Thanks

  4. Overcome limitation or explicitly state/document B2B lock out with viral tenancies

Azure B2B has a scenario which is undocumented. That's when you invite a user, if they setup a viral tenancy using their work address and later forget their Azure AD password they've just created, the user has no way of getting their original account back.

From the partner organisation point of view, if you delete and recreate, then re-send the invitation email to the guest user, even though the user has access to their own email address, they cannot login or recreate their account in the Azure tenancy as they've forgotten the original password they setup on the Azure tenancy.…

  5. OTP sign in failed

    Please provide more details regarding the failed sign in for OTP users. Currently we only see;
    Status Failure
    Sign-in error code

    501811
    Failure reason Other

If we want to know more ( reason of the failure ) the customer needs to contact support with a Request ID and time stamp. They would like to be able to see the reason themselves. Thank you!

  6. The AS2 encoder corrects the data as it becomes incorrect

    Hello everyone,,
When binary data is entered by the AS 2 encoder, processing is done as a character without permission and it does not become attached file data
According to the specification of AS 2, binary attachment is possible by standard, why can not it?
It is impossible to communicate with B2B normally
Please make full response to the AS 2 specification faster

  7. Azure AD guest user profiles are sometimes empty after invitation is accepted

When inviting a guest user (B2B) the guest user must consent and authorize Azure AD to read the guest user account Name and Email address.
However, most of the time the user profile that is created in Azure AD is not filling the "Name" attribute. This behavior is not consisted across different Azure AD environments.
It would also help a lot to enrich the guest profiles with other attributes like "First Name", "Last Name" and "Display Name" because it will greatly reduce the effort needed to modify these accounts manually.

  8. Table that shows what portals or sections of Azure AD are accesible as B2B guest user

There are some portals or sections within Azure and Office365 that are not able to be shared with B2B guest users. The way you find out which ones are or aren't is by trial and error. It would be good to have a table or section within Azure that you can check to find out what portals or sections of Azure AD are accesible as B2B guest user. This could be like a query you can run within Azure and it will tell you on-demand what can be assigned to a B2B user

  9. Azure AD makes sharing and collaboration seamless for any user with any account

Confirm a question, does this new feature also apply to AIP when we add collaborators who use Google (gmail) to log in?

  10. Remove the option to select between work and personal account when resetting passwords

This option confuses guest users. Those who have created an account on a viral tenant need to select "work or school account" and those who have setup an MSA account need to select "personal account". Selecting the wrong option leads to a message stating the user id is not recognised. This is proving difficult to support.

  11. Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Server should be able to use/import Users defined in a Azure AD group not just import from AD

Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Server should be able to use/import Users defined in a Azure AD group not just import from AD thus they could be B2B users.

  13. Block sign in for new guests

We have implemented a process inviting guests to Azure AD. We want also use the anonymous link feature within SharePoint with a restriction who can use this feature. But this allows those users also to invite guests.
It would be great to have a switch within the "External collaboration settings" area, to set that all new invited guest are automatically blocked. Within our process, we could enable legitimate guests, while others are blocked for sign in.

  14. Cross tenant sync of AD user email address for guests

we have issues wherein we have tons of user accounts in Office 365 tenant and we have many additional Azure tenants wherein we invite users as guests to these tenants they are then linked to Azure Devops instances.

We are going through an ongoing process of migrating users email addresses, the problem is once Office 365 is updated with a new domain the guest tenants are not updated. While it is possible to script update every user in every tenant it is not possible to update the users email attribute.

This then has a knock on affect with Azure Devops…

  15. Assign partner (B2B) accounts to a subdomain of the corporate domain

We have a number of support partners that are in direct competition which each other, and would be very concerned about exposing even email addresses to each other (usernames in SaaS apps are very rarely hidden from standard users, as they are used to communicate who was the last person to update an asset, for example).

I would like the ability to abstract this from them somehow. For example:

    My domain is acme.com

Partner 1 is using the domain "shakenservices.com"
Partner 2 is using the domain "stirredservices.com"

When I provision to an application, I would currently have to use a…

  16. AZure B2B should be separate from the main idea and they should be Gal separated as well

Azure B2B should be separate from the main AD
and they should be Gal separated as well
it's recommended to not put external user and corporate user in the same repository for security reason (1) wrong right assignment could happen and it would be also easier to delegate to user for SharePoint for example . I though it was already on the roadmap because many complained about guest user able to see all the other guest user and not only the one on his group .

  18. Add Users and Groups to Manage Region

In the Enterprise Applications section, after selecting an application, clicking on the Total users to add a user is not intuitive. It would be helpful to have a User & Groups item in the Manage section (below Owners, Properties, Provisioning) so that we could more easily access the page to add users and/or groups
