Allow administrators to unlock locked-out users in Azure AD Domain Services
If a users gets locked out of their account in Azure AD Domain services there is no way to unlock it. The user has to wait for 30 minutes.
Try telling the CEO you can't unlock her account?
Can't set lock parameters and can't unlock an account -- this is crazy! Also a good reason to look at alternate solutions such as Okta
I was unable to unlock user account from Azure portal. There should be a two steps authentication for this kind of issue, specially when we are working from home.
Some have any hint or advice to solve this issue?

How is this not a default feature blows my mind. Admins who have MFA on their accounts can't unlock anything that is locked.

I have to side by the comments here ... someone smoked something out of the ordinary .. and we are NOT talking Prince ....
On that account however we did implement a Finegrained password policy (only defined lockout) ... but I think its a huge fail that this wasn't tought through.
I get it that AAD --> AAD DS is a oneway synchronization but the unlock feature is ONLY related to the 'managed domain' so it makes sense not being able to reset password...
hope you can remedy this quickly.

Sad panda...now I wait 30 minutes to make a 5 second change I needed to make before going home. All because I didn't realize I had the wrong password saved. :(
It's ludicrous to think that having an account locked out through someone honestly forgetting their passwords should lead to someone sitting on their hands for 30 minutes.
Not only is this extremely annoying - in the wrong hands it can be used offensively to shut down an organisation.
We need the unlock account feature by api.

are you kidding me? I have a user that is getting locked out daily and I can't figure out why.. where are my tools? where is my unlock? I keep reading where I can do it via powershell but no directions.. come on MS this is BS!!!!!

This is unacceptable. We were in the process of implementing Domain Services. Now I think we need to reverse course. What a disappointment!!
