Phone number sign-up
Local accounts currently allows email addresses and usernames as sign-in identifiers. Add phone numbers as well.
We recently announced the public preview of adding phone sign-up and sign-in with custom policies: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-b2c/phone-authentication
We would love to hear any thoughts or feedback through this short survey: https://microsoft.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_86C0d46O8Tw6Ghv
We are currently working to bring this functionality to built-in user flows, but do not have a timeline for release.

We would like this to be in conjunction with email or without email as well.
We work with contractors and laborers that need access to login but may not have an email address they want to use for work purposes. In other cases this user may not have an email at all, just a phone number.

- I would want to be able to use this in conjunction with email.
- I would like to be able to create the account without needing an email at all.

we want to have both options. Ability to verify by phone or email. Phone is preferable for advanced security.
when will this be available?
I would love a phone number signup as an option for users to choose from. Then a user could say I want to signup the traditional way with email or they could choose the new phone number only option. Passwords reminders could be texted as well.

By when can we have this feature enabled? We have costumers for mobile app asking to support only mobile number authentication rather than email.
We would love this this feature too as we need our users to be able to sign up with phone number in conjunction with email.
We would like for them to be able to create accounts without needing the email at all.

Hi Any update on this feature.. is it released or any particular release date. We have multiple use cases where we want users to use mobile numbers instead of email ids. and continue using AAD .
I would like to be able to do simple phone number registration. User enters phone number, receives SMS code and register. Afterwards we ask for attributes, name or other.

Our authentication scenario would best be benefited by the ability to have users sign up with just their phone number

I would want to be able to sign up/in using either email OR mobile as the user id. It would also be great if you could verify the user id via an email or SMS depending on whether an email or mobile was entered as the user id.

We would like to have both e-mail and phone number based logins at the same time. Let the users choose which one they want to use based on specific use case.
The feature would be more interesting if you could register a new identity through any of the ways you have indicated

Hi, any info on this? Has this been rolled out?
Hi @Adam Bradley any news?
Any news on the planned release?
Most of our current customers would like to have the option for their user to validate by email or phone e.g. email/phone on one step allowing the user to make the selection on how they would like to validate. This step should be before the password step...note in some cases we would like the option to call back to the API base on customer having mobile or email on file that they can validate to sign up with, or in some cases there is no email just a name, DOB & pin number for validation step1. The username become what ever the user likes along with a password at the end of the sign up flow.

We'd like to have this without the need for email. With the advancement in Teams we anticipate just giving our frontline workers Teams access only, by using their phone number it eliminates the confusion that the UPN brings. Anytime someone sees an @ symbol they assume they have an email address but that's not the case.
Hi @Adam Bradley, I´m interesting in the SSolution with the Phone Number in a Custom policy for register

@Adam Bradley, would be great if you can share the way you hacked using the custom policy for the Ph number signup and signin here please for all of us.
Would like to use it in conjunction with email. Similar to what Facebook has
