  1. What happened to inviting "users in partner companies"?

In the old portal we had the ability to bulk upload a CSV file of "Users in partner companies" into B2B. There doesnt' appear to be an equivalent in the new portal.

This allowed us to invite external users, add them to an appropriate group and send them to a SPOnline URL, all in one hit. Plus monitor the invite process in the AzureAD reports.

    Great for Extranets!

Now I have to invite individuals, then add them to a group, then send them a URL to go to once they're finished.
I can script a lot of this out, but…

  2. restrict b2b

I desire the ability to allow B2B collaboration with only allowed tenants thru a config managed at the tenant side. As an org we may not want to federate with all tenants. The existing workaround involving Tenant Restriction thru proxy injection is not viable in our org.

  3. Enable full Language customization for Azure B2B

Azure AD B2B sends verification code emails to external guests only in english. There is no possibility to change language & design? Besides, if the external user has to set the new passwort for his MSA/AAD, the page is in english and cannot be customized as well. Any plans on this? Or any other idea to get this working in local language? Any plans when there will be a possibility to customize the design? Thanks a lot!

  4. Azure Active Directory, Guest User invite. Allow Group/Distribution lists

Azure Active Directory, Guest User invite. Allow Group/Distribution lists.

You can not add a guest user email address if its a distribution list. You have to use a "user" email address, ticket REG:117081816209241. This is would be useful to invite clients to manage certain objects (our example is keyvaults). People come and go and change positions. So using a distro list makes sense here. Using a "shared" mailbox is possible but why extra overhead of an additional mailbox and license.

  5. Add support guest user login on common endpoint.

Current Azure AD B2B doesn't support guest/external users login on common endpoint. Hence it is very difficult to develop a multi-tenant application supporting guest users login. Developers have to set a specific tenant id to use OpenId Connect Authentication.

  6. Allow Azure AD to Azure AD Trust

Add the ability to trust another 365 tenant like exists with on prem active directory. The scenario is a company that has an establish 365 acquires another company that has a 365 environment. In a on prem scenario a domain trust would be put in place, however federation and external user access is the only options. This capability needs to be in place for Azure AD to trust another Azure AD.

We’re working on a few features in this space that will likely help address this scenario but don’t have an ETA yet to share. Thanks to the folks who have added additional details of what they’re looking for, and if you have more scenarios for how this capability could help you please do add them as comments.

    Thanks,
    Elisabeth

  7. Choose SaaS app for invite in UX

Provide an option to select an alternative saas app within the Azure Active Directory Portal for the Azure B2B invite or/and solve the issue surrounding the Azure Access Panel / MyApps.

  8. Set Additional User Properties in New-AzureADMSInvitation -Title -Mobile -GivenName -Surname, etc.

PowerShell and portal.azure.com should enable more attributes to be set when inviting external users, such as their Mobile number, GivenName, Surname, Title, etc. rather than waiting until the invited user is added and then having to lookup their object ID and setting the attributes with Set-ADUser

  9. Mail Enabled External Users - Allow UserType=Member to be Mail Enabled - Allow Inviter to Control Mail Enable/ShowInAddressList on invite

Consider the following scenario. You have a sister company or other company with their own AzureAD tenant, for which you want your users to be able to collaborate. You invite those users to your AzureAD tenant. Depending on how you do so, those external users may be Users or may be Mail Enabled Users.

These External Users may now collaborate with your users using SharePoint or other AzureAD connected business apps, but if you're users are regularly collaborating with these external users, wouldn't it be great if you could make it easy for your users to find them in the…

  13. Bulk b2b invite in the New portal as now this feature is available in the old classic portal using the CSV file.

As of now I don't see the Bulk B2b invites possible in the New Azure portal, where as in the old Classic portal it is there using the .csv file, we have moved to new portal since there are restricted permission model available, but we are missing the great future missing bulk b2b upload, so it would be very appreciate ful if you provide that feature.

  14. Preload B2B invited users in SharePoint Online

At the moment, when you add someone to a Security Group, that grants access to SharePoint Online, using the B2B invite process, they often get the:
"We're sorry, but EMAILADDRESS can't be found in the TENANT.sharepoint.com directory. Please try again later, while we try to automatically fix this for you."

error. If they wait a few minutes and try again, all is good.

There's no point in having an SPOnline URL in the invite, if they can't get to it straight away.

Preloading the user into SPOnline might fix this, or having some way to force, "instantly", the user to…

  15. Bring through external user profile fields when using B2B

Currently, when you invite someone from another AzureAD, using the B2B process, only their DisplayName and EmailAddress comes through (both of which are actually provided in the B2B CSV file).

It would be very useful if more profile information could be retrieved, possibly with the user's authorisation.

In particular, details like Firstname, Lastname and Country, would be a useful start, but potentially more profile fields (address, phone numbers, title, etc) would be ideal.

  16. Allow users to use their email on sign in even though the adress is associated with an account

When we invite external users to our Azure AD, we use an email that they provide. This works fine for a lot of cases. However, in some situations, the user gets a message like this:

You have been invited to access <somedomain>
To access applications in the <someorg> organization, you'll
need to sign in with <yourEmail>. This email
address is associated with an account named
    <someaccount>

To get this to work, the user needs to use the account as login, and not the email we used to invited them. This is very confusing for the users, as some of them…

  17. Enable SSPR for B2B invited users when there is no admin for their domain

When an external user is invited and there is no existing Azure AD domain for him a dynamic one is set up and his account created there, this is all well and good.

However, if he looses his password there is no way to reset it. I have tried it with a mail address on a test domain and I could not recover the password. The only option I could see is to claim the dynamically created Azure AD for the external user's domain, so that the new admin of that domain can reset the password. But this is of…

  18. Add B2B Users via both CSV or by searching via email

Love the new AAD Admin Portal. It's currently missing the capability that the classic Azure portal has to invite B2B (other AAD) users. In the new experience can we have the ability to not only bulk upload with CSV, but also be able to add one at a time with a simple email search?

  20. Can i use Azure AD B2B collaboration together with Azure AD B2C within one tenant?

For external customers we will use Azure AD B2B to login in and for external users (from custom domains i.e. Hotmail.com, Outlook.com) we would like to use Azure AD B2C to log on.

So, one tenant with Azure AD B2B extension and Azure B2C extension coexisting.
