On a live encoder channel, when you stop pushing a live feed on ingest points, le encoded feeds are showing the joined image.
Could it be possible to replace this default slate by a custom image in a channel?19 votes
Thanks for the feedback, this has been added to our backlog for the live encoder.
Azure Media Service officially does not support 360 panoramic live video input and output.
Resolution ration of 360 panoramic video is 2:1 unlike TV or VOD content.
I have tested by using 2:1 panoramic videos whether we can see 2:1 live video by client app through Azure.
As a result, I have confirmed that it went well .
360 panoramic live video becomes more and more popular all over the world.
I hope Azure Media Service supports 360 panoramic live video officially.17 votes
RTSP is a very common IP camera protocol. If Azure would add the capability to directly ingest RTSP, it would greatly improve the ability to take advantage of Azure's services for IP cameras. Now these cameras always require the additional overhead of an encoder/trans-coder just to convert from RTSP to RTMP which adds delay, processing requirements, and is zero value add from a users/developer perspective.16 votes
The live streaming channels should be able to keep online for a longer time window to support 24/7 live streams. The actual service works as long as you don't use the transcoding functionality but has some issues.
For this type of streams a channel has to persist at all time and player URL has to be the same... even when a the ingest RTMP has some issues. A really nice feature would be a static slate/image that is showed in the live stream when there is no RTMP signal for some time.15 votes
To sports or conference type of live streaming, customer want to use FIXED player URL to simple operation. thi is same capability of YouTube Live or UStream.
- Re-Ingest live streaming to recover network or encoder failure.
- Reset Channel by fix some issue on Azure Media Services if there is a issue at preview URL.13 votes
To Ensure live ingest stability, fixed ingest URL is one of key topic that's allow simple operation and no API based encoder stability.
I think if Channel Endpont allow GUID based ingest URI, that's help it.
Currently, we cannot use existing uploaded Assets for "live" streaming. This is useful when we do rerun a broadcasting.
A scenario is that, we can watch same recorded conference video and chat about it at any place with their own devices. Or, just what we can expect about rerunning program in broadcast.8 votes
Our current system allows us to stream live events to 250k viewers at 2 second latency which is a requirement of the type of events we stream, this is not using any fancy hardware, just a laptop and a camera attached. The best I can get on azure is 20 seconds end-to-end streaming, this is not really live and once I add mobile devices that delay goes up. I would like a truly live stream facility that would enable me to use azure to stream at 2 second latencies end-to-end like I have right now.8 votes
We are considering to add low latency streaming to our platform.
Add support for Media Indexer.... Bonus for Live Audio Translation, like Skype Translator7 votes
This is planned on the roadmap
Currently multiple audio streams (multi language) for live encoding ingest only work for RTP single bitrate video streams. Please add support for multiple language tracks to live multi-bitrate Smooth streams pushed from a client encoder. Scenario: Elemental Live encoder creates multi-language multi-video bitrate Smooth stream that gets pushed to AMS live channel over public internet connection. This is needed, because the RTP (UDP) protocol is not reliable for pushing over public internet connections, and the Azure Media Encoder encoding profiles do not always meet the specific scenarios or encoding options an on premise live encoder can offer.6 votes
We are looking at using azure for our internal streaming but want the ingest point to be secure. Can support for either of the secure protocols be added?5 votes
We are working on adding RTMPS support to our ingest.
Multiple cameras are set on the same field.
We hope users can select each camera video.
In this situation, we must prepare a channels for each camera on Azure Media Services.
Of course, time stamp information exactly synchs the video from all the cameras.
we hope synchronization function of data between the channels on Azure Media Services.5 votes
Is is possible to support viewing the preview stream in HLS/DASH? Currently it is only possible to view it using a player that supports smooth streaming. These players are very difficult to find. Also the preview functionality in the Azure portal has been removed.4 votes
Now I am using the live encoding of Azure Media service. In tradition way, If I encode the file on premise by Wirecast, I could add the own logo by Wirecast; But If I use the live encoding, could I add own logo without Wirecast ?3 votes
We will review the request to add overlaying when encoding.
Today, when we try a live encoder to ingest into AMS Live channel, if it does not work, we have very limited info on why the ingest is refus
refused. It would be great if an option is provided to disclose the detailed exception info via either API, portal, etc.3 votes
In live streamin we have a bug with flash media live encoding to use encoding with channels in order to try keep the frame rate. I think that the focus must be in solve this issues and make better compatilbility whit other programs too this happens with obs and fmpeg too.3 votes
To inform the broadcaster since sometimes it takes several minutes and the broadcaster might thing the encoder program stopped working2 votes
We are reviewing our telemetry support for Live Streaming and how to provide better start up time.
Thumbnail job of Media Encoder Standard while live streaming.
It does not follow the asset that has not been created yet.
Job finishes before live broadcast is completed.
Currently, we must execute polling thread for thumbnail creation while live streaming.2 votes
Add support to reproduce playlist of VOD streams using live streaming channel to emulate the classic TV format. Thank you.2 votes
