Parser performance is slower in IE than other browsers
Manifest parser works slower in IE than other browsers (ie Chrome). The difference is significant with large manifest.
With a manifest of 7k+ lines, it would take IE >5s to parse the manifest, comparing to <1s in Chrome.
IE:

The player examples on http://ampdemo.azureedge.net/ do not work in Edge or Internet Explorer!
The Azure Media Player examples on http://ampdemo.azureedge.net/ only work in Chrome and nothing else. How is it possible that your examples do not work in products of your own company?

API to extract video format and metadata without trans-coding or analyzing the entire video.
It would be a great tool to have the ability to analyze a video with an API call, prior to the trans-coding step. We have an issue where we don't have the format/encoding/compression information for all of our videos or other meta-data like video duration, resolution, etc. It would be great to be able to extract this information as a separate API, without an encoding process.

Hyperlapse - Disable the "Zooming and Scaling" option
When a video is hyperlapsed the algorithm seems to zoom and scale which sometimes causes a wobble. Can you add an option to disable this part of the algorithm to avoid this jitter.

Ability to block user from seeking forward video content
I am new to Azure Media Player, sorry if the question is answered previously.
Currently, I am working on education app, where a user takes a course by watching videos. Now what I want is, a user should not be able to seek video at the end time, whereas a user can seek wherever he/she wants, till the point he/she has completed a video.
e.g. if I am showing video of length 10.00 minutes and a user has watched till 5.00, at this point user can seek at any time between 00.00 to 5.00 but a user can't seek after…

Add support for videos without audio tracks
Not sure if it's by design or not, but AMP fails if there is no audio track.
I can see a number of valid business cases for videos with no audio tracks.
The errors:

Use "Adaptive Streaming" (or any other) preset with an Overlay
I like to use the preset "Adaptive Streaming" as it meets all of my needs, but would like to add an image watermark (overlay) to the video.
Ideally, an overlay feels like a separate option from bitrates, so it would be able to be supplied as a separate option from these presets. Alternative, if I could find the "Adaptive Streaming" preset template, I would be able to modify this existing preset into a custom one, but I haven't found a template. I have found multiple templates for other presets (https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/blob/master/articles/media-services/media-services-mes-presets-overview.md), but not one for "Adaptive Streaming".

Performance SLA
1. What is the performance SLA for the encoding job? To be more clear, for encoding a 30 min video and generate 5 adaptive bit rate file, how much time it would take? Please share the reports, if you have.
2. Are these SLAs associated with the VMs it is running with? How can I know the mapping between them?

Since Azure Media Player version 2.1.0 and above, the exception below occurs and style seems to be broken.

Update .NET SDK
Hi,
I would like to use Azure Media Service Nuget package on my UWP app. But, when I installed it, it showed me an error.
Error looks like this:
windowsazure.mediaservices 3.8.0.5 is not compatible with uap10.0.10586It seems that the latest update of the package is near the end of last year and still does not support .NET platform. When is it available ?

Turn off profanity/content filtering in Azure Media Indexer
Azure Media Indexer v2 automatically redacts certain content when generating transcripts, such as profanity. There is currently no way to turn off this content filtering, making the transcripts less useful.
Add a setting that allows this functionality to be toggled for each job

Remember the volume and bit rate until next time
In Azure Media Player, the default value of the volume is max, and the default value of the bit rate is auto.
We can remember those value if we use a web browser cookie, but AMP will be more useful if there is a feature to remember these value by default.4 votes -
Manage Azure Media Server programatically
Hi to all,
How could I Manage Azure Media Server programmatically.
example: I have created from portal.azure.com one (1) AMS.
But when S3 10 cores reach the limit, I will need to create a new AMS programmatically.
- How I will know when S3 core reach the limit?
- How I can create new instance of AMS programmatically?
- How I will know when S3 core are idle or AMS is idle? Thanks

Low-cost/classic endpoint
Why do you not support classic endpoints anymore?
I can imagine that media services were born to give streaming capabilities to big companies, but in my case I developed a CMS that is used by many companies, totally based on Azure (web app, storage, cdn, etc.). Sometimes I have designed for my customers a home page that has a video background. Obviously in this case I cannot ask to my customer to pay 50USD/month only for the video background.
For these basic cases the classic endpoint was very cheap and useful.
Obviously now I’m forced to switch to YouTube.1 vote -
Support key rotation services for Live Streaming
It's helpful to key rotation feature for 24x365 live streaming if Contents Holder required that supported by PlayReady 3.0 or later. Hope we can provide this as option.
