Enable dev/test plans for Web App for Containers (Windows)
Currently, Web App for Containers (Windows) only allows selecting production plans PC2-4.
Please allow using dev/test plans for lower cost during development.
We announced GA of this feature at Ignite this year and the feature GA’d on top of the new Premium v3 SKU, which is available for WIndows Code, Container, Linux Code and Container apps, we also announced at GA – https://aka.ms/appservice2020. Both of these components were made available on the 5th October 2020.
We encourage all customers with Premium Container App Service Plans to move workloads to the Premium v3 SKU. We also announced Dev/Test pricing for Premium v3 (relevant for Windows Container workloads) and Premium v2. As part of the Windows Container GA our container hosts were updated to support 2004 images. All Windows containers deployed in App Service run in Hyper-V Isolation.
