Add support for free tls/ssl certificates
I want to create a tls/ssl binding to a custom host-name with a free certificate
Today we announced App Service Managed Certificates (preview) that provides a free certificate option for App Service hosted apps.
You can learn more about this option here:
Please add support for letsencrypt

I also agree that even adding Let's Encrypt as an option under Key Vault certificate authorities would be great.
C'mon Microsoft guys, really?
Just came to Azure from AWS and I cannot belive this crap.
Amazon provides free certs for your custom domains from their CA for all their services.
When you want to change form PLAN to DONE?

Hello? Someone here from Microsoft? What's up with this?

Please also consider wildcard certificates as an option (*.my-domain.com).
Let's Encrypt support wildcard certificates : https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/acme-v2-and-wildcard-certificate-support-is-live/55579
Looking at options from afar.
Helloo? anyone at the support to answer? when do we get ssl support on shared and free plans??

FIVE months later and the Azure App Service team are still 'looking at options' - why bother having this channel of communication when the #1 item on the list (by a long shot) is ignored?
"looking at options to enable this"... ACME protocol is well documented and you already have integration with other Certificate Providers, so adding Let's Encrypt should be easy.
How long till this is added? srsly such a pain..
Any update on this as its a huge pain trying to do this manually. A horrible administrative task just to get https on a few microservices or small websites
I kind off feel like my forum post is related to this...
Come on do it for basic plans too.
Guide for non basic plans T_T.
What does Planned mean? Is there a date?
And how about much less expensive static IPs? Perhaps $2/mo? The overpriced certificates and overpriced IPs feel like hidden fees.
Azure is already providing free SSL Certificates for CDN, let's make it globally available in Azure!
Google Firebase App Hosting offers free SSL Certificates and Custom Domains even on their Free tier (Spark Plan).
Engineers typically build and host a handful of personal websites as a means to learn new technologies (such as .NET Core, Visual Studio, and Azure). Microsoft is shooting themselves in the foot by not providing developers with an inexpensive place to host their hobby applications (with a domain and SSL).
"Free and shared service plans do not support SSL." Is this a joke?
"Standard SSL Certificate: $69.99/ year" ??
Above examples nauseate businesses and developers. And explain why Microsoft Azure is the #3 cloud provider.
At least add Letsencrypt as a provider in Key Vault.
