    Hi there,

Sorry for not responding early. The place to do this is on the Azure Portal, in your app’s settings, scale up.
In general questions like this are best handled through the developer forums. Many more eyes on the issue you’re asking about.

    Thanks,
    Oded, Azure App Service

  2. There should be an option to move an App from one App service Environment to another App Service Environment

There should be an option to move an App from one App service Environment to another App Service Environment . Right now we have to create again a new App if only we have to change ASE.

  3. Scale

When setting the scale options for a website in the new portal, if I set the duration to less than 1h for CPU percentage I get a warning saying that the metric much be greater than 1h. But if I set the same metric in the old portal it defaults to 45 mins, then I can use the new portal to reduce it further to 15 mins.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry for not responding earlier. I hope the issue has since been resolved, but take a look at our monitoring documentation for a great explanation about the metrics and quotas: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/web-sites-monitor/.

In general, if you encounter technical issues like this the best place to go are the developer forums, where many more eyes are taking a look at your issue.

    Thanks,
    Oded, Azure App Service

  4. Bug? Restoring a web app places it into a broken 'Restored' App Service Plan

When using the old management UI to restore a web app, the web app is restored into a new app service plan called Restored{number}.

This Restored app service plan is also broken.
It's placed in a resource group, but doesn't show up anywhere.
Because of this, the web app can't be moved to another app service plan without some fiddling: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/documentation/articles/azure-web-sites-web-hosting-plans-in-depth-overview/#comment-2594946664

  6. Inconsistencies the instructions Updating hostname binding

There is inconsistencies in the descriptions for what DNS records are needed to be created to prove ownership of a domain.

In the Bring External Domains tile/panel, it provides instructions for
    awverify.www.yourdomain.com.au

while in the Update hostname bindings Panel/tile refers to
    awverify.yourdomain.com.au

While not a big ordeal, while their is time latency in updating and verifying records, it can be frustrating when the instructions appear to change on what your DNS records should read.

Attached are a couple of screen shots.

  7. Enable "=" sign in environment variable passing to docker container

When connection strings have special characters in passwords it is useless putting them in environment variables because they are being stripped when handed to the docker run command. See here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/waws/2017/09/08/things-you-should-know-web-apps-and-linux/#EnvVars

For example a Redis service on Azure always has a "=" character in the Access Key (at the end), which makes the use of connection strings environment variables in Application Settings impossible to use (or at least with an ugly hack).
Is there another way to pass passwords then starting docker containers from docker hub?
