  1. secure the on premise web api .net core 2.0 using azure AD and getting postman and swagger ui to work

    Does anyone have a good video or coding example that I can follow? I need to make sure the secured api piece works using postman and how I can get swagger ui to work also. Because My api and my web application are both on premise can I use Azure AD for OAuth2 or do I have to create my own identity server?

  2. App Service Certificate

    When you purchase APP Service certificate you also need to specify domain name. Can you change this Domain name later on.

  3. Add Azure tags option for Application service Environment

    Today Application service Environment cannot be tagged. It causes issues with Charge Back with Billing and cost management

  4. Make Small App Service Plans (S1/B1) more reliable

    We've faced a issue of random high CPU in App Service Plan (S1), Azure support says that it is due to internal monitoring. But my suggestion is why to keep app service plan on such low resources that internal monitoring services suck the CPU / Memory resources.

    In Short - Microsoft should make the azure internal services to use minimum resources / increase resources for small app service plans such as S1.

  5. Block Certain IP Address(es) and Allow All Other Public Traffic

    Within a Web App, I know how to allow certain IP addresses, but there is no option to block certain IP addresses while allowing all other traffic. What I am looking for it "block Tom's IP, but allow all other public traffic".

  6. What Rbac action/permission would allow Azure App Service Network Access Restrictions

    What Rbac action would allow Azure App Service Network Access Restrictions ? We dont want every user to have auth to set/unset ip-rules using 'Networking --- Access Restrictions' for app-services. There is no doc explains which rbac action/permission controls this task ?

  7. make Active Directory Password parameter in .Net Core like .Net Fwk.

    This a real trouble.
    If there actually IS the parameter in te connection string, AND it is displayed as a valid connection string in Azure Portal, it MUST be supported.

    Over and over, the features and documentations make it harder to use. And that make non sense.
    I teach, train and Support lots of developers from all around the world, explaining them that it is simple to work with MSFT technologies . But this is not the way MSFT make things now.
    Of course, it must be supported in AzureWeb apps in order to be useful for customers.
    TIA

  8. Terraform based DevOps Pipeline release delete web app service

    Hi,

    When trying to change the settings of a existing website via pipeline without deploy any code to it, the pipeline release delete the whole website.

    Adding following code will keep the website:
    lifecycle {

        ignore_changes = [

    app_settings["WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE"],
    app_settings["APPINSIGHTS_INSTRUMENTATIONKEY"],
    site_config,
    ]

    }
    But we can not leave the whole site_config be ignored. We've tried following setting but these setting can not resolve the issue :
    lifecycle {

    ignore_changes = [

    site_config["scm_type"],
    ]

    }

    lifecycle {

    ignore_changes = [

    site_config["always_on"],
    ]

    }

  10. App Services user credential error not shown to user

    I recently changed the subscription owner which wiped out the previous user credentials for web deploy. I was trying to create and save "User Credentials" again in the Azure Portal, but the "Saving Credentials" notification would never finish. Using Azure CLI, I came to know the actual error which is "The publishing username has to be globally unique, and the name you provided has already been taken by another Azure customer. Please type in a different name." It would have been nicer if Azure Portal would have shown the same error.

  11. Regarding domain validation failed

    Came across one scenario where we added records to add custom domain in Azure, however got error message as "domain validation failed, need to add A and TXT record".

    It was a third party domain provider and we confirmed everything was fine even we tested for other domain it was added successfully but only for that one we faced issue. Requesting to let us know why there is only in some cases we need to add these records unlike in other cases it validates successfully.

  12. How to setup HP printer wireless?

    If you wish to setup the wireless HP printer, then you have to unpack your printer in the first place. Remove all the materials that surround and connect the power cord as well. Try to print an alignment page to test the printer’s proficiency. Select any one of the connection types and in case if the printer authorizes, you may even choose Ethernet as your preferred link. But before everything, you have to install the printer driver file and configure the system as well. You can even follow the alternate way to setup the printer by calling the HP printer…

  13. Enable surfacing all attributes from Win32_PerfRawData_Tcpip_TCP (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394341(v=vs.85).aspx)

    We have been experiencing sporadic times of high dependency latency. Understanding where this is coming from would help narrow down a long term solution.

  14. MIM Web Service Connector Bug - Endpoint names starting with number cannot be validated

    When trying to configure the MIM Web Service Connector host entry, it will fail to validate if the host name begins with numerical value such as 1234-TestingWS.azurewebsites.net.

    Please update the validation criteria for the connector

  16. Improve error message when disconnecting a VNET from a Function App

    When most resources in Azure are locked at a resource or resource group level, you receive an error message when trying to delete a component that the scope is locked and it provides the details of the lock. However, if a function app is locked at a resource level and I go to delete the VNET from the function app, all I get is a generic error stating that it couldn't be deleted. Ideally that error message should let you know that it can't be deleted because of the resource lock.

  20. Diagnostic Settings (AppServiceAuditLogs) not working in Canada region

    The Diagnostic Settings feature (which is in preview as of 2020-06-04) currently does not log AppServiceFileAuditLogs or AppServiceAuditLogs to either a storage account or log analytics workspace in the Canada Central region. I have engaged Microsoft support and they've confirmed that the feature works properly in US regions, but they were unable to produce any Audit logs in the Canada region.

    My expectation is that with those two diagnostics selected and a Log Analytics workspace populated, changes made via Kudu or config changes at the app level would be logged. The behaviour is that no logs are produced at all…
