Add ability to shutown Redis Cache instances
Need to be able to test both basic and standard Redis cache deployments but don't want to have to delete them between use cases. Running standard pricing tier redis cache uses most of my MSDN Azure Free trial credit. If I could shut it down, I would like to be able to save the costs.

Sorry, resolved the wrong entry. Shutdown not yet supported.

Thanks for such a nice article dear friend, it really helped me a lot. Why don't you take some time to get your feedback at the KrogerFeedback. The article is very informative thanks. https://krogerfeedback.fyi/

To test a failover scenario, you can use the Reboot functionality, where you can choose to reboot the Master, the Slave or both nodes.

In the entire list on https://feedback.azure.com/forums/169382-cache, this issue has the most votes. One of the central features of cloud services is to be able to pay for what you use and nothing more. To not be able to shut down unused Redis caches or at least scale them down means that we're practicly back to buying hardware. This was reported february 26th 2015. That's two years ago. Why isn't this fixed? Microsoft is earning money by waiting to fix this, it doesn't seem fair.

Shutting down Master to test failover & promotion of ***** on standard instances is a must-have capability. We cannot test production scenarios without it.
